At that moment you felt your heart sink into your stomach, for dangling around 50 metres above your heads were 4 or 5 large steel pipes suspended on an ever weakening hook. They were too large to avoid, and even if you were somehow able to, they'd just knock over the stuff surrounding you...and surely either crush you all or bury you under tons of wood and steel.

---

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh," you repeat to yourself quietly, shrinking into your coat. At the same time you feel Misaki squeal and stand up suddenly before slumping back down, almost throwing her entire weight on you as she did with an audible exhale.

"It's ok, stay calm," Kirara asserts not looking at you two. She slowly gets up and inspects the material trapping us, not going straight to the boundary because any further and she'd be exposed to the rain, "There must be a way out. If nothing else we'll have to risk climbing over this wall of bars and hope it's stable."

Just then a deafening scraping sound echoed from above; each sound wave bouncing off every shiny sonorous solid as if they were tuning forks, the sounds resonating and amplifying as they drew closer to your very vulnerable position. One of the metal beams had fallen. Crashing through a stack of wooden crates and destroying the bars of one part of your cage- only to replace them with as a much bigger obstacle. It was like you were right back in that skyscraper, trapped and frightened...but this time you weren't alone, there was no villain perpetrator, you weren't injured and it wasn't pitch black. Being trapped like this wasn't so bad. Nothing like before. Sure your chest felt heavy, sure your breathing was quickening, sure your muscles were shaking and your heart rate accelerating. But it wasn't your body shutting down, it was your body preparing you. Maybe it was the adrenaline messing with your head, but you felt sure that you could get out of this.

After recovering from that initial scare Kirara took a step back and glanced at you, the look was brief but it was all you needed to to know that she had the same determination. Her desire to not get arrested now shifting into a desire to get all of you out of this safely. Swallowing your nerves, you made an attempt to stand up and walk over to Kirara but you were immediately forced back down. A weight. A heavy weight had slid onto your lap and kept you rooted to your seat. Confused, you looked down expecting to see a pipe or something trapping your legs, but to your shock your eyes fell upon an unconscious Misaki.

"What...?" You lower your ear to her mouth to check that she's breathing. To your relief you her heard quiet slow breaths and sat upright again, calling out for Kirara to come back.

Her first conclusion was that something must have hit her head and knocked her out, but after inspecting her head she was sure that she'd suffered no head injury. There was no bleeding and no fallen material on the concrete around you that could have feasibly hit her. It wasn't until she checked Misaki's now weak pulse, felt her sweaty palms and noticed the loss of colour on her face that she realised that Misa had fainted. Not from an external injury but rather...

"Shock," Kirara says as the two of you position Misaki on her back and raise her legs up; you had googled how to deal with someone who's fainted after Rara told you that she was sure that Misa had fainted. She had Misa's left leg resting on her shoulder, "I know we've all joked about Misaki's injuries from that high end Nomu attack, but in truth I think it's been nagging at her in the back of her mind."

You were holding up her right leg, eyebrows furrowing at the news, "As in trauma?"

"Let's not assume things," Kirara sighs, "She was her usual self at the hospital. When the doctors came in with updates and results of surgeries she was unfazed, when she spoke to her family and while we were moving in she was all smiles...I say that but there was one hiccup."
