The fight made international news. Your family back home saw it and your father was hesitant to let you stay in Japan while your mother straight up wanted you on the next flight home. Your friends were mixed on this issue too. As for you? Well, while you weren't entirely sure, it must be said that you weren't very optimistic about having a future here.
Luckily, you were in and out of the hospital before the day was over. The cut wasn't serious enough to warrant an overnight stay, so you were just patched up, given some antiseptic cream and sent on your merry way. Which on its own wouldn't have been a problem, but you were anxious about Misaki's condition. Her injuries were much more serious. Apparently, the weight of being trapped under concrete had damaged her internal organs, resulting in several of her ribs being damaged, internal bleeding as well as bruising. The bleeding was the worst part, and all of the medical staff's focus was on treating it. It took hours, but Kirara gave you updates via text during the procedure. While they were able to eventually stop the bleeding, it would be a while before she would be back on her feet.
Kirara fared better than the both of you, after getting checked at the scene of the attack, she just got a few plasters and didn't need any hospital time. As she walked you out of the hospital after you was discharged, you took the chance to apologise to her.
"Kirara, I'm sorry about all this," you said with your eyes cast down to the floor, "It's my fault I tried to keep you two with me, when you were actually being rescued."
Kirara looked at you for a moment and then in one swift motion drew her left arm back and slapped you across the back, propelling you forwards and almost knocking you over. Once you had regained your balance she said, "None of this is your fault. You forget, me and Misaki were also trying to resist the rescue, it wasn't until we reached the ground that we realised that it was actually just Hawks' feathers. Well...I noticed, Misaki fell unconscious during the descent. Which was a shame, still, I'll have fun telling her about it once she wakes up."
"You are crazy strong for someone who hates exercise," you complained, rubbing your back, "But no but that's the point, you couldn't have known- it was almost pitch black in there, you couldn't see a thing in there. But me...I was able to see everything yet I acted like an idiot."
"So you have a night vision quirk? Your quirk affects your eyes like Misaki's, cool," Kirara said, "That explains why you said you'd find us back then. At the time I didn't stop to question it, but then it hit me after we were whisked away."
"Kirara please! Are you listening to me?"
"Not the apology part," she said firmly, "There's nothing you need to be sorry for; you were only trying to help us. Even if from an outsider's perspective it was incredibly stupid and probably a pain in the butt for the hero, you were just trying to do what you thought was right. If anything I should be thanking you."
"I can live with you not taking my apology, but at the same time I won't take your gratitude," you said and she nodded, seemingly happy with the agreement. You weren't about to argue any further, so just left it at that.
You had walked to the front doors when Kirara said, "I guess you noticed that they were feathers once they caught a hold of you."
"Actually..." you began, cringing at the memory, "I only saw a flicker of red from the one that held Misaki. I couldn't actually see the three that grabbed you or mine. The moment you were pulled away, I felt myself getting dragged too, so I impulsively took off my jumper and sprinted away from them. Eventually I lost them, but as I sat against a wall I saw lots of red feathers breaking apart the wall behind me. When I turned around, the rock crumbled away and it created a gap from which the hero himself appeared."
