I was dreaming of a man who had two masks. However, I only saw one side of him when I faced him, and it was only when I turned my back to him did he show his other side. Although I couldn't see this side of him, I knew it was there, hiding away from me. Wherever I went, he followed a few paces behind me, never approaching just standing there. My patience wore thin and I was about to turn around and lunge at the man to tear off both his masks when a voice pulled me out of my sleep. As I awoke, my eyelids slowly tore themselves away from each other and I looked up, focusing my gaze on a young woman crouched in front of me, saying my name.

"Keigo. Keigo. Wake up please. I have to go now."

Y/n?

But that doesn't make sense, how can she be up this early? Did she wake up earlier than me? No, that'd be impossible...unless. Shit, what time was it?!

Taking a deep breath, I struggled up off my stomach and sat up, ready to stand up but Y/n put her hands on my shoulders to stop me from getting up. Her sudden touch made my feathers twitch, something I hope to God she didn't notice. Looking into my sleepy eyes I heard her say, "No, I don't think you should get up. You look exhausted. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for waking you, I just thought that- since you mentioned that you had to work...I-uh."

"Hold up a minute," I said, reaching across to my left shoulder and putting my hand on hers, "Hold on, don't apologise, it's fine. I'm glad you woke me up," I felt my vision blur a little bit as I tried to focus on her face, "What time is it?"

Her face briefly brightened at my action, before she went all panicky again, "It's just gone 8 o'clock, and I have to go in the next couple of minutes or I'm going to miss my bus. But listen, I've left your breakfast on the kitchen island under a glass cover and I've got lunch for you in the fridge. When you said that you be working at home and at your office I know if you meant you'd stay in one day then go out the next or alternate in the same day, so it's in a lunchbox just in case you do need to go out. Also, that's why I woke you up, just in case you needed to be somewhere ...do you?"

"Other than the usual patrol- which my sidekicks can handle on their own- no, not really. I'm more than happy to stay here today," I replied and realised that I had just gotten less than 2 hours sleep. On a happier note, after what seemed like hours, my eyes finally focused on Y/n. She wasn't wearing a uniform, but was smartly dressed enough to tell me that she was about to head to her new workplace. Speaking off, she said that she had to leave in a few minutes. Not wanting to make her late, I said, "And thank you for the food, I'll cover dinner tonight, so don't worry about that. Just let me know what time you'll be back. Now go! You don't want to be late on your first day do you?"

"You don't have to do that, I've already planned what I'm cooking tonight- alrighty, you can cover tomorrow then. Oh, there are a couple more things too..."

I listened to her talk about how she organised the kitchen and various other rooms in the house as well as other stuff she did to the place. I listened to her, with the dumbest grin plastered on my face. And I knew that I was smiling like an idiot, but I couldn't stop myself. She'd taken her hands off my shoulders at this point and was gesturing with them as she spoke. My empty hands fell into my lap, as I sat cross-legged on the duvet cover with my wings fanned out behind me. When she mentioned my bedroom, I interrupted her by stating, "You made my bed."

In response, her face changed colour and she uttered, "Yes, well I couldn't leave it in that state after having cleaned the rest of the room, I also washed it to a couple of days ago. You don't mind do you?"

"Not at all."

"Good. Since we're on the subject, why were you just lying on your front on top of the bed sheets? Is it because you prefer to sleep that way?"
