"Hey princess wake up." He whispered into my ear softly, I smiled looking up to see my father's handsome face. "Good morning." I giggled and gave him a big hug.

"Morning daddy. I missed you so much, how was your trip?" He kissed my forehead and I sat straight on my bed.

"Let's not talk about my work trip. I got you something, come have a look." He took my hand and I followed his direction to my window. He opened the curtains and revealed my gift.

"I don't see anything dad." I got no response. "Dad?" I looked next to me but he was gone. "Dad!" I ran to the bathroom.

"Dad!"

I gasped for air waking up, lifting my head from my pillow quickly breathing heavily, sweat on my forehead dripped down my face as I panted.

I looked around and saw no sign of my father and just a dark room and that's when I realised.

"Damnit! I was dreaming." I sighed and placed my head back to my pillow again slowly. I thought about my dream as I looked at the ceiling.

...

"Good morning" I pulled my chair and dropped myself on it.

"Rough night?" I raised my head to face Caleb.

"You could say that." I took a croissant.

"Wanna talk about it?" He asked.

"I had a dream about dad. He was showing me something he bought for me but I couldn't see it and he disappeared." I bit my croissant.

"Okay that doesn't make any sense Kid." I shrugged.

"So is every dream." I said.

"Good morning people." Zach greeted joining us and we did the same. "What are you guys talking about?"

"Kyla's weird dream." Zach looked at me.

"Weird dream? What was it about?" He asked me.

"My dad. He was back from a work trip like Caleb usually comes and goes." He nodded. "He said he got something for me and so he pulled me to my window but I did not see anything."

"Like it was black and then you came to or you just saw the regular entrance that is outside and nothing new?" Caleb let out a chuckle at Zach's question.

"Zach what do you mean it was black?" I looked at Zach.

"You see when you're about to wake up? It's usually black like if you could could close your eyes right now. I meant that black." Oh understandable.

"Well it was just our empty driveway I saw and then he disappeared and I woke up." I finally answered.

"Okay I agree with Caleb that was really a weird dream." I shrugged again eating my breakfast.

"Kind of reminds me of that weird dream you had when we were in college." My brother said to Zach and he laughed.

Interesting

"What was it about?" I asked my curiosity getting the best of me.

"It was just a silly dream, why would you even bring it up?" Caleb laughed this time. "Okay since you're already curious Kyla, it was a dream where I was married to my professor." I giggled making sure I don't choke on my food.

"Married? Did you have kids?" I asked.

"I don't remember seeing any but I just remember I was married to the woman." He answered.

"It's so funny because you don't even want to get married in the first place." I looked at Zach surprised.

"You don't?" I asked and he looked at me unsure of what to say.

"Kid this guy right here thinks marriage is just a trap and too stressful. Right Zach?" He looked at Zach sternly as if daring him to say no.

The room was quiet for a moment as Caleb and I were waiting for his best friend to respond.

"I can only say I'm undecided at the moment, yes I had swore never to get married in the past Caleb but we are grown ups now, that was so long ago and you never know maybe I'll want to settle down one day." He looked at me but I looked away disappointed at his words.

What was I to him then? I couldn't believe I was busy thinking we could spend our lives forever together while he doesn't even consider getting married. Which meant he already knew we weren't going to last.

I hated how stupid I felt for thinking about the future with Zach.

"Excuse me." I took my phone and paced to my room.

...

"Kyla calm down you know he has to keep appearance for your brother." Hazel said over the phone.

"It was just a general question Hazel but he eventually showed me his true colours. I'm nothing but somebody he's passing time with. I feel so stupid for loving him." I sighed looking at myself in the mirror with my puffy eyes because of the crying.

"Ky you know what I'm coming over I can't leave you to yourself right now. I'll be there in twenty minutes." I wiped my wet cheeks.

"Okay." I hung up and went to throw myself on the bed just as my door opened.

I looked at the person who let themselves in and it was none other than

"Zach. Okay get out I don't want to talk to you." He looked surprised at my tone and words.

"Ooookay what's going on with you?" He closed the door and came over to the bed.

"Last time I checked you understood English very well so please leave me alone." He sighed and did the opposite like he always does.

"Babe listen, I know maybe you're hurt you found out I'm not the committing guy." I looked at him surprised.

"Maybe?" He held my hand.

"No not maybe, that came out wrong." I gave him a blank stare. "Kyla I love you and that won't change. I just have a past which I'm trying to move on from like everyone else. Ever wonder why Caleb doesn't want me to be with you?"

"He told me why." I said

"He did? And you never told me?" I rolled my eyes.

"He told me yesterday and you came back late last night." He looked relieved.

"Oh." He looked into my eyes. "I guess you know what kind of person I used to be then." I nodded.

"Yes a cassanova." That was harsh. "Apparently you have never loved anyone and you have no intention of starting now." He let out a chuckle.

"Is that what he said?" I nodded. "That's not entirely true because I do love you Kyla and I'm not lying about it. You have me doing things I never thought I'd do for anyone, you have me caring and thinking about you almost every freaking second." I melted at his words.

"Caleb only won't let me be with you because he cares and love you so much. He wouldn't want you to get hurt even the tiniest bit. He's never had a sister so I understand why."

"You're his best friend why doesn't he trust you?" He smiled and gave me a peck.

"If you were my sister I'd do the same to him." I smiled as and got on top of him sitting on his lap facing him with my hands wrapped around his neck.

"Luckily I'm not."

I kissed him so softly and he kissed me back. Desire flamed through our bodies. Something I've never experienced before. Sure the feeling of going on has struck a lot of times but it was never this strong, so passionate.

Perhaps it was time not to stop anymore.
