I walked into the library and as expected it was dead quiet. I greeted the librarian at the front desk.

"Hi." She smiled politely.

"Hey Kyla what can I do for you?" I pulled out my book.

"I just came to return this and get a new one." She took it and started typing.

"You're a fast reader I see." She handed me back the book. "Please put it back and take another." I nodded.

I walked to the familiar shelf and put back the book. I walked to the back of this huge library. At the back there was a green couch.

I was actually surprised to be honest but I moved along searching for a book that would peak my interest. I strolled slowly until I hit a wall.

I looked in front of me and realised it wasn't a wall. Oh it's Xavier.

"Sorry" I said then continue walking looking for a book.

What is he doing here anyway? This doesn't seem like a place he'd like.

And you know what he likes?

Okay fine you're right I don't.

"What is your favourite genre?" He asked. His voice had a good melody to it I'll give him that.

"That is nothing you should be concerned about." I walked to the other shelf on the other side. I took out a book. Mmhhh seems interesting. Warewolves?

"Not the romance type of girl I see." I glanced at his hands to have a look at the book he took.

Nothing

"Let me guess you came here to find a girl for the night?" I rolled my eyes and went to the other shelves to see if I could find something better.

"You seem to think you know a lot about me Kyla Davison." Of course he knows my name.

"Just like you think you know me." He let out a chortle.

"You know what that means right?" I gave him a bored look. "We have something in common. Everybody knows us."

"Xavier are you that bored that you'd rather make small talks with me? I'm clearly not interested in whatever theories you have." I said.

"Really? That's new. Last I heard you were asking about me." I looked at him confused.

"What? Why the hell would I ask about you? You clearly have your business everywhere." He chuckled.

"You're feisty."

"Yes I am now can you leave me alone?" He looked a little surprised at my tone.

I moved around him and headed to the front desk annoyed. I finished with the librarian and walked out headed back to my small apartment.

I decided to change my route to Megan and Hazel's apartment since we were on the same floor. I hadn't seen them today. Of course I've been in and out of classes like the nerd I am.

I was also seeing Clyde tonight as his tutor. I agreed on helping him if he would promise to not hesitate to call me if he ever needed help with anything.

I instinctively opened the door without knocking. There was no one in the living room so I dropped my bag on the couch and headed to one of their bedrooms. Hazel's room to be precise.
