Ding Dong!
Running to get the door, I almost tripped and fell.
"Meg!!" I screamed when I saw my best friend. I attacked her with a hug and she gladly accepted my embrace.
"I missed you so much Ky." She said while we were still in each other's arms.
"I missed you too." I pulled back and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Come on in." She did and I walked us to the living room.
"So where is Hazel?" She asked.
"Do you like her that much?" She gave me a shrug.
"Well she's cute." We both giggled.
"Right. Well she's at home. She'll join us when we go out later." I said and we sat down.
"Oh okay so where is Rose, God I've missed her food." I felt a little hurt that she mentioned her but I had to get used to it.
"You have forgotten?" She frowned. "I told you she retired two months Meg."
"Ohhh! I'm sorry I forgot. That explains why she hasn't come out to greet me yet."
"We have Brie, Olivia, Michael, Landon, Maria, Chad, Larry, Jada and Natasha now." She gasped.
"Jerry left too?" I chuckled.
"No I was talking about the new ones." She giggled looking relieved.
After Rose left I talked to my brother and we decided to hire more people since it's a huge manor it's fair to hire more people to help Brie. It also meant if any worker has to rush home due to demanding matters others can be left behind and the house can still be maintained and we don't get to make our own meals like I used to do when Rose would go home.
"I'm sorry to disturb Kyla, but can I get you two anything?" Brie said.
"I'm good, Meg?" She shook her head. "We're okay for now Brie and by the way this is my best friend Megan. Meg this is Brie."
"Nice to meet you Megan." She said respectfully.
"Nice to meet you too Brie." With that Brie left us to ourselves again. "Soooooo, I'm finally back home and you promised to finally tell me who it really is that melted your heart." I giggled covering my face.
"You just got here."
"You are the one that made wait for the past month so it's been one of the things I've been looking forward to." I opened my mouth shocked.
"We haven't even talked about your flight or how lovely it is in Italy. Are you that eager to know?" She laughed shaking her head.
"I used to tell you everything about Italy now stop stalling, spit it out." She smirked.
"Okay let's go upstairs to my room."
We walked up to my room and I finally noticed that she had gained some weight.
"God how much were you eating in Italy? Look at how thick you are now." She burst out laughing.
"Stop it. Well grandma always made the best meals so I couldn't say no to the good food. Actually good is an understatement. Scrumptious is the that right word." She moaned making me laugh at her.
We arrived in my room and we sat on the bed.
"It hasn't changed much." I nodded. She looked around.
"Yeah I still like it like this." She gave me a smile.
"So is it someone I know?" She looked like she was dying to know and that made me laugh. "Kyla come on."
"Okay okay." I composed myself. "Yes you know him b-."
