Lan Wangji's heart felt squeezed like a marshmallow s'more as his fiance coiled into a ball like a small kitten. Gooey love oozed until it made him dizzy, until a smile graced his lips and he chuckled with fondness.

He and Wei Ying met around a decade ago, when they were prepubescent teens with confusing hormones and big changes. They joined the same secondary school, were in the same year, taking the same classes and working together on group projects.

It was year seven when Lan Wangji had turned eleven that he experienced his gay awakening. It was history class at 9 am on a Monday morning when he had been seated beside Wei Wuxian for the first time. He was a loud boy conversing and laughing with the other loud young boy in front of him, much unlike himself, who was quiet. Unsubmissive, but tucked away and serene.

Despite the rowdy first impression, Lan Wangji found himself to be drawn in very fast. Like a temptress, Wei Ying seduced him with a bright smile, teeth like the pearls of the sea, eyes scrunched pretty and shiny like jewels, a melodious laugh like the voice of a siren.

He was utterly powerless to the other boy, the swarm of emotions stronger and nothing like he'd ever felt before made him act out. He pushed Wei Ying away until he couldn't any longer... around year nine, he began to let him in.

By college, Lan Wangji had summed up the courage to ask Wei Ying out. He took his soulmate to a dinner where the food was a petrifying shade of crimson, and despite his numb tongue, brought Wei Ying to a cliffside where the view over the city looked like a swarm of stars and read him the diary entries involving him through highschool. It was mostly poetry, rhythms of longing and rhymes of yearning. Pages of confessions, a book of love letters until Wei Ying, gardens of roses planted upon his cheeks silenced him with a kiss.

They pulled through high school together, lived together during college, they were each other's firsts and nobody doubts they'd be each other's lasts.

They were now twenty-three, settled in the house of their dreams- freshly built, designed by them both, planning a wedding and soon after that, planning adoption.

A well-known professional artist and a famous Guqin player... and this is what they were doing.

Lan Wangji chuckled to himself as he zoomed the camera in, focusing it on the pout on Wei Ying's sleeping lips, "Big stretch." He whispered into the microphone as Wei Ying completed stretching out on the corduroy armchair.

Once his fiance was settled once more, he stopped the video and went to Instagram where he held an account where he took photos and pictures of his soulmate and found a kitten picture exactly like it. Kitten or A-Ying?

Wei Ying found the account extremely amusing, as well as endearing when it made his heart flutter.

The account held a mass of followers, all fans of their relationship, admirers and kitten lovers. Every post received thousands of comments and likes.

And so with a small caption and a few hashtags, Lan Wangji posted the video to Instagram.

He then joined his fiance on the armchair, holding him close and closing his eyes.

The next time Lan Wangji did this, Wei Ying was lying down on the sofa, chest resting on his thighs as he sketched a simple piece.

He took a quick picture of his fiancé focused on his drawing and posted it with a picture of a kitten on its owner's lap.

Wei Ying giggled as he heard the camera shutter, butterflies pawing at his stomach lining like little felines as he turned over to face his fiancé. Drawing long forgotten, he sat up situated on his almost-husband's lap and watched him post the photo.

He never imaged Lan Wangji to be one for social media, the disciplined and stoic boy he'd met all those years ago wouldn't even indulge his sweet tooth! Candy was a foreign food, he ate nothing but healthy veg and oatmeal, and now, he hosts a popular Instagram account and has a bowl of marshmallows beside him.

Wei Ying wasn't sure if he was a positive or negative influence on his lover but it was too late to determine now.

He smiled as Lan Zhan posted the caption with a faint-worthy amount of heart emojis before placing the phone down, "What kitten am I today Zhanzhan?" He enquired, wrapping his arms Lan Zhan's neck and leaning closer.

Lan Wangji smirked, hands finding Wei Ying's hourglass waist he gripped tightly making the other man gasp softly, "Mine."

Wei Ying's laughs filled the room as he was pinned to the soft cushiony sofa.
