Wei Ying's heart thundered, frozen, his mind raced at 1000 miles an hour as Lan Zhan relentlessly kissed his lips, cupping his face gently. Wei Ying blinked, gazing gently at Lan Zhan's ethereal face, whispering between kisses, "...B-But...what...how...huh?" He rambled, losing himself in the sweet kisses Lan Zhan was giving him.
Lan Zhan smiled and pulled back, tilting Wei Ying's head up, he kissed him a final time before he spoke, "Wei Ying... I love you." He repeated himself, smiling sadly when tears formed in Wei Ying's eyes.
Wei Ying whimpered, tears dripping from his eyes, "...Lan Zhan..." He breathed out, "You... you love me? For real?" He questioned, in disbelief.
Lan Zhan's heart throbbed, smiling softly, he pulled Wei Ying into his chest and nodded, "Mn... I'll say it till you believe me... and then I'll say it forever after that." He promised, kissing Wei Ying's hair.
Wei Ying's throat closed up, so happy he didn't know what to do with himself. Bursting out with a smile, he felt overwhelming joy building and suddenly they were in the beautiful scenery of Wei Ying's dreams.
Lan Zhan looked around, the small sound of running waterfalls and rusting leaves hitting him, he smiled softly. They were surrounded by lush grass and blushing pink blossom trees, vibrant butterflies and birds which ruptured into song.
Wei Ying abruptly pulled back, eyes full of joyous crystals, and exploded with happiness, "Kiss me!" He blurted, soon being swept into a tight embrace, lips met his.
Wei Ying clutched the lapels of Lan Zhan's robes, pulling him closer until there was no space for anything left between them.
Their love pushed the clouds away and their happiness lured out the sun. It shone brightly, lighting up the clean blue rivers as they refused to part, scared if they did it would become dark again.
Wei Ying wrapped his arms around Lan Zhan's neck, pulling away, he kissed his forehead, cheeks, then his neck, biting and sucking.
Lan Zhan gasped, his eye fluttering as he clutched Wei Ying's hips tightly, "...W...W-Wei Ying..." He stuttered, pushing him off after a minute, he yanked him forward and smashed their lips together again, kissing Wei Ying hungrily.
Lan Zhan grinned, giving Wei Ying's lip one final bite, he parted from him, supporting him since their kisses weakened his shaking knees.
Wei Ying gasped for air into his neck, wincing at his swollen lips, he giggled quietly, "Hanguang-Jun... Lan Wangji... Lan Zhan..." He called, chuckling when he felt the arms around him tighten protectively, Lan Zhan seemed endeared by his behaviour, "...I love you too."
Lan Zhan froze for a second before pulling away, looking so happy it shocked Wei Ying, "Wei Ying!" He exclaimed happily, lifting him by his waist and spinning him around.
Wei Ying gasped before kicking his legs and squealing, "Lan Zhan!" He giggled, crying with laughter.
Lan Zhan's heart swelled, pulling him close, he joined their lips and kissed him gently for a while. Wei Ying calmed down with the gentle kisses, then pulling away again, "Lan Zhan..." He smiled, cupping his face, Lan Zhan frowned when his smile dissipated.
"I..." Wei Ying paused, gulping, "I have one more thing to show you..." He whispered, his radiating anxiety injecting Lan Zhan with fear for him.
Lan Zhan nodded, kissing Wei's forehead, he felt them uncomfortably transported somewhere else. Lan Zhan winced, looking around he frowned finding them in the Burial mounds, his face contorted.
"Wei Ying... why are we here?" He asked the man in his arms, breathing in the painfully thick and dirty air.
Wei Ying gulped, looking up, he pointed to the sky. Lan Zhan frowned, following his gaze, he gasped, "Wei Ying!" He yelled in alarm, watching Wei's past memory of his falling out of the sky. Tossed into the Burial Mounds.
Wei Ying couldn't watch it again, turning, his pushed himself into Lan Zhan's chest, hiding in his robes he trembled listening to his own screams.
Lan Zhan bit his lip, tears filling his eyes as he watched powerless as Wei Ying plummeted fatally to the ground. Unable to look away, he sobbed softly, hugging the man in his arms tight, "Wei Ying..." He whispered, his eyes turning red.
He held his breath as Wei Ying got closer and closer to the ground.
Closer and closer, practically inches-
SPLAT!
Lan Zhan jumped, letting a harsh wail rip from his chest when he saw Wei Ying die, hitting the ground with such force the ground beneath him split like the pieces of Lan Zhan's heart.
Blood lept everywhere, painting the ground crimson, it leaked from Wei Ying's head, back, and every hole on his head. Lan Zhan wept, looking at the dark smoke covering Wei Ying's abnormally bent body, limbs twisted and flattened, face broken and bloody. Lan Zhan hiccuped.
He began hearing calls as he stared at Wei Ying's face, his eyes lifelessly staring back, "Y-You're dead..." Lan Zhan stuttered, hearing the calls of Wei Ying's family.
He then heard his own, his own voice pleading, calling for his other half.
He gulped, watching carefully, he gasped and flinched when Wei's eyes fluttered.
From Wuxian's broken chest a shattered wail tore, writhing in pain only causing more damage, he sobbed loudly yet refused to move.
Like Lan Zhan, Wei's past self heard the calls, closing his eyes he let tears roam the structure of his bloody face, dribbling back into his skull making the cracks sting. He wept softly, shaking violently he oozed blood from every inch of his soft skin.
Once again, Lan Zhan's voice rang out making Wei Ying open his eyes, whispering brokenly, "L-Lan Zhan?" He stuttered, looking around with his eyes, he couldn't even think about moving his head.
Lan Zhan's heart shattered, watching Wei Ying tremble in agony as he slowly rolled onto his chest, moving best he could to look around he called again, "L-Lan Z-Zhan?" He practically pleaded, "...Lan Zhan... save me please..."
Wei Ying covered his ears, hiding in Lan Zhan's arms, he felt his chest vibrate with cries.
Once again, Wei Ying heard Lan Zhan's voice calling to him and this time, he noticed the floating sword, swimming in demonic energy, his bleeding heart dropped. His face contorted in pain as he crawled, screaming noisily in anguish.
Lan Zhan just couldn't look away, watching with a destroyed heart as Wei Ying clutched the handle of the sword, wailing as he sold his soul for survival.
Finally, he was able to look away, hugging Wei Ying tightly, he removed one of his hands from his ears gently, "P-Please I-I can't w-watch you die a-anymore I l-love you- I-I... I-It hurts..." He pleaded, hiccuping and sobbing softly.
Wei Ying nodded, "Hug me tightly..." He whispered, trembling, the screams faded as they both woke from their enchanted slumber.
