Lan Xichen sighed, resisting the temptation to roll his head around his shoulders to release some tension as he walked to his brother's chambers. What was really fifteen minutes felt like hours of agonising worry for his brother since he stormed out, Lan Zhan had never reacted like that.

He was also worried for Wei Ying, but being human his brother came first and so he found himself terrified to find the missing Young Master. What if he's in a state when they find him? What if he's missing limbs or something drastic like that?

Lan Xichen shudders at the thought, the thought of the heartbreak Wangji is bound to face if they don't find Wei Ying in perfect condition.

Knocking on the door, Lan Xichen waited for an answer as he took deep breathes, ready to apologise for being so strict earlier while knowing how stressed his brother is.

He waited.

And waited some more.

Yet no answer came.

Frowning, Lan Xichen knocked again, and again received no answer making his heart begin to slowly quicken, "Wangji?" He called, walking away from the door and venturing all over Qinghe, hoping he'd find his brother angrily pacing.

But he didn't. He couldn't find Wangji anywhere which terrified him to no end.

Running back to the meeting room in a cold sweat, Lan Xichen's eyes glazed with tears, "Mingjue!" He exclaimed, catching everyone's attention with his uncharacteristic appearance.

Nie Mingjue's eyes widened as he rushed forward, "Xichen, what happened?" He asked, taking his hands.

Lan Xichen gulped, "W-Wangji he- he's missing!" He panted, quickly being sat down.

Yanli sniffed, "C-Clan-Leader-Lan, do you know where he might've gone?" She asked gently, well-aware what it was like to have a missing sibling.

Lan Xichen hiccuped, shaking his head wildly, "N-No I-" He spoke, but stopped abruptly, becoming as pale as snow, "The Burial Mounds..." He whispered.

"Mingjue!" Lan Xichen cried, "He- He's g-gone to the Burial Mounds!"

Jiang Cheng gasped, looking at the map, "It's full of resentment, he'll die!" He yelled, only making Lan Xichen's panic rise.

"Oh god- Wangji!" He exclaimed trying to get up but he was pushed down again by Nie Mingue.

"Xichen! Get a hold on yourself, we'll all go but you need to be ready- and in the right state of mind!" He raised his voice, yet, still spoke gently.

Lan Xichen gulped, nodding, he took several deep breathes before nodding, "Okay..." He breathed out, calmer, "Let's go."

Lan Zhan squinted, struggling to see through all the resentment and bearly breathing with the rotting stench and thick dust, "Wei Ying!" He yelled, wiping his bleeding nose as his light energy clashed with the Burial Mounds.

Lan Zhan whimpered softly, he'd been looking for what felt like hours and still no luck, "Wei Ying!!" He screamed again, stumbling over another corpse, he gasped.

Hitting the floor with a thud, Lan Zhan winced as the air was forced out of him, he gulped.

Wiping the blood from his nose again, he stood up with a struggle and continued to walk, this time finding a clearing.

This clearing looked man-made, the trees were all cut down leaving room and the tiniest speck of light from the sky poured down into it. Lan Zhan frowned, "Wei Ying!!" He screamed, "W-Wei Ying it's L-Lan Wangji- Your Lan Zhan!" He cried, "Wei Ying!!"
