UNDERCOVER AND IN LOVE

CHAPTER 6: JEALOUSY

Sydney's partner Brian was actually a dirty cop.  He was on Mario's payroll. The lookout sort of, Mario needed a guy in the police officer, on his payroll, so that he could keep him aware, or let him known if Mario's name ever came up, or if the police were ever getting any evidence against him.  It was also Brian's  job for Mario to dispose of any evidence that ever did come in, terrorize and threaten any witnesses etc.

Brian  was very sneaky at how he tainted or disposed of the evidence. He did it in a way that no one knew, the evidence just never pointed to Mario.  Brian  did not know that Sydney was working the case.  The captain was worried about her being outed as a cop, so he did not want to take any chances at all. So no one in the office knew where Sydney was.

Brian and Tom clashed from the first.   Brian wanted to be the top man for Mario. He had worked his way up and he thought he was going to be Mario's right hand man. He had busted his ass putting his badge on the line, to make sure that Mario was never touched or implicated. He threatened witnesses, found out information and reported back. The way he saw it he was loyal and was owed the right hand man status, and he would have had it, until  Tom showed up. Tom had impressed Mario, and was in a position to save Mario's moms life.  Actually that was all planned by Fuller.  Doug was supposed to be robbing Mario's mom mugging her when she was walking with groceries.  Tom went in stopped it and kicked his ass, decked him and Doug ran off.  Mario made Tom his right hand man, which pissed off Ryan.  So ever since that day he hated him and wanted to find a way to make him look bad.

 Brian knew about Sierra, had heard that Mario had this girl, and all the guys were going on about how beautiful she was, and how she was driving Mario crazy.  But  hadn't seen her.  Ryan couldn't just walk into the mansion or be anywhere near Mario, cause it might put his job at risk, if he was spotted.  he knew his captain hated Mario and had always wanted to take Mario's gang down. But the captain had never got close to Mario, had always brought in the low level guys in Mario's gang, tried to pressure them, but they never gave up any information about Mario that would send him to prison.

Mario paid for Brian's penthouse and so that is where they met.  Mario was always worried about his security, and about protecting that secret room, and his office. That is where his safe was, and the incriminating videos of all the rapes, torture, murders, hits he had ordered.  Mario loved the power that he had, and got off by watching all of them over and over. He had  security guards that sat outside the office, they worked two at a time, 24 hours a day.  They sat outside and just watched the security footage of the whole mansion, and especially just to make sure no one came in that room.

Tom got a long good with all the guards.  He claimed to like the same teams as them, so they talked football, basketball, baseball.  Tom brought them food when he would make food runs.  Tom did not like Brian.  he didn't know that he was a cop.  No one in the organization knew except Mario.  Brian  would come around Tom and would meet with him at Tom's motel room. Brian was a snob and would always insult Tom by saying too bad Mario didn't respect Tom enough to let him move in the mansion, or pay for him to have a penthouse. He was just a low life low level slave to Mario.

Brian and Tom would get into it and Tom would throw punches.  Brian  would complain to Mario but Mario would tell him to just leave Cavallaro alone.  Which made  Brian  fume.  he knew if he could only get rid of Cavallaro he would be able to take over his position.

So  Brian  had one of the guys in the gang watch Cavallaro. The guy reported to Brian , that he thought Cavallaro had a thing for Sierra. In watching the security video, the guy had noticed how Tom was staring at Sierra, watching her swim, and so Brian reported it to Mario.  Had told Mario to come over.

Mario was in the middle of a heavy make out session with Sierra. He didn't want to take the call. Brian  said it couldn't wait, it was crucial. Sydney was grateful and relieved when Mario left. It made her sick to have him touch her.  She was shaking.
