As time has gone on, this pregnancy has been rough.
I tried eating healthy cut out all the things I shouldn't have but my blood sugar was still so high, and my blood pressure was high some of the time.
I just didn't feel good a lot of the time, and spent a lot of time just trying to sleep.
When I reached the 7 month mark of my pregnancy though I was starting to feel good. My blood sugar was normal and had been for a few weeks, and I felt back to my normal self. Wasn't dizzy, my blood pressure was good as well. The doctor gave us a good report and said that she thought that the worst part was over, and it would be smooth pregnancy for the last couple months.
We had found out that we were having a girl. Lexie was so excited. She said, "yes I'm finally getting a sister, now there are 3 of us women in this family." I think that all the kids were excited about having a girl. And deep down I know Tom wanted a girl, and so did I. Tom wants another little princess.
Lexie was so excited that she wanted to have a gender reveal party. I told her that was fine, she could plan one. So she did it all. Margaret helped her. But she picked out the cake, and then she was going over ideas on how to reveal it, she was watching videos of gender reveals, and she said we could get a gun and shoot it off, and pink comes out. The younger boys loved the idea of a gun, but Tom is like I don't know about that Lex. She planned a perfect party. She picked out a barbie themed pink cake, with pink plates, balloons and decorations. And Tom took the kids to pick out a cannon to have pink smoke come out. The younger boys were so excited.
The kids were just in awe of the baby videos that the doctor gave us. She was sucking her thumb. The boys were like she is so adorable. Tom and I said yes she is and then laughed at their reactions to the video. They wanted to watch it over and over. They even wanted a picture of their own of her in my tummy. Kade was taking it to school for show and tell.
I'm 8 months pregnant.
There was a father daughter banquet at school. Lexie always loved the daddy daughter events that the school had. This year she thought maybe they should skip it, since I was pregnant and might need him. But I didn't want her to do that. I know that Tom really loves these events, as well, and I also know that Tom's time with Lexie is running out, as far as she's almost out of school, 2 more years, then there won't be father daughter events for them to go to. So I insisted, and told her I'd be fine with the boys. Thomas assured her and Tom that he would take good care of me. Chance, Chase, and Kade said that they would too.
It was Wednesday night, and Lexie had bought a new dress to wear to the event. She looked so beautiful but so grown up. My baby is not a baby, she's becoming a young lady. I told her how beautiful she was.
The plan for the night was that Tom and Lexie were going to go to the school for the banquet, and the boys and I would go to dinner. After I got pictures of Tom and Lexie they left. Tom told Thomas to call if he needed anything.
We went to eat in Thomas's car. I said, "I'm a very lucky woman to have so many good looking dates tonight." The younger boys laughed. I said, "I'm enjoying it while I can there will come a day when you all will leave me." Kade said, "mom no I won't" Chase said, "I won't either." Chance said, "I won't mom." Thomas and I laughed. I said, "you say that now, but when you start liking girls." Kade said, "Girls are gross mom." Thomas said, "Kade mom's a girl" He said, "I'm not talking about mom Thomas." We laughed.
Our night started out good. We went to our favorite family style restaurant. The boys favorite.
I got a salad and a milkshake, and then halfway through eating, I felt an intense pain. In my stomach. So bad that it made me double over.
