Chapter 17

Napabalikwas ako sa kama sabay libot ng paningin sa paligid. Nangunot ang noo nang makitang nasa clinic ako, napaayos ako ng upo nang pumasok si Lawson.

He scanned me with his both emotionless eyes. "May masakit pa din ba sayo? Maayos naba paghinga mo?"

I remember immediately the last thing happened, my anger bursed out. I glare at him. "Stop acting like you really care,  you've known that I am allergic at shrimps but still let me eat that!"

He tsked. "It's your all fault." He said, sured. "If you're allergic why would you eat that? I thought you're smart."

Sa inis ko natawa na lang ako. Umayos ako sa pagkakaupo sa gilid ng kama bahagya naman siyang umatras at pinakititigan ng mabuti ang aking mukha. Sa inis ko, dinuro ko ang noo niya gamit ang dalawang daliri.

He was taken back, didn't expect for what I did to him. He immediately stood up properly in front of me. "Why you acting mad? It's not my fault, Savannah." Paninidigan niya

Umismid ako at inirapan siya. "Then, it's my fault!" Iritableng ani ko. "But at least say sorry to me, it's not hard to say it!"

He stayed silent for a seconds. A twisted lips formed. "Sa'yo na nanggaling." He said. "I can say it but it won't be sincere like you wanted."

Iritableng bumuga ng hangin. Lumalabas nanaman ang pagiging short-tempered 'ko sa lalaking 'to! Darn him!

"Fucking fine, don't apologize!" I said, irritated.

Pareho kaming natahimik, wala ni isang nagtangka na basagin ang katahimikan. Nagsasalitan ng tingin sa isa't isa, sari-saring emosyon ang naramdaman 'ko.

We're not like this before...what happened?

Nataranta ako nang naramdaman ang mainit na butil ng luha na dumausdos sa pisngi, mabilisang pinunasan 'yon. Lumambot ang ekspresyon niya at naglakad palapit sa harap ko, mas malapit pa sa'kin.

I gasped, shocked and fluttered. He hugged me, he's freaking hugging me right now.

Oh man, my fast pounding heart again.

He caressed my hair gently. "I am indeed a bad person, I didn't think for your feelings. I'm no good for you."

Napalabi ako at mahinang sinuntok ang likuran niya. "No, you're not bad! You helped me a lot in anything I want, I've learned something from you."

"But...you're mad at me now..." his voice lowered

I unlock my arms and face him. "You know how I am easily get mad to big or little things, I can't control being short-tempered." I smile to him, genuily smile. "I'm sorry for starting a fight between us, I won't do it again. I'm really sorry, Lawson..."

Napangiti siya at hinulo ang kamay ko para pisilin ng mahina. "Apology accepted," tumayo ito ng maayos. "Aren't you hungry? This time, there's no shrimp related."

I immediately nod happily. "It's your treat?"

Maangas itong tumango. "Of course! Let's go?" He handed his hand to me

I gladly accept his hand then smile.

I'm not blind but i'll be blind from the truth just not to ruin everything. I can be stupid just for him, for Lawson.

Judge me all you want, but this is my way to make him stay with me. He's only one.

Mabilis lumipas ang mga araw para sa'kin, naging makahulugan ang bawat araw na kasama si Lawson. Naging masaya ako, ang sayang naramdaman na hindi naramdaman sa mga dumaang tao sa buhay 'ko kahit pa sa mga magulang ko.
