it's been 2 weeks now since they left and you began to worry. the last couple days were 'ok'. Bucky started giving you driver lessons, it was nice doing something with your days. Bucky and you became even closer the last couple days, you just wished he for once would tell you what his nightmares were about. "see you later, don't do anything stupid while i'm gone" you say to Bucky as you walk towards the door. "don't worry, you're taking the stupid with you" he says back "have fun".
Pepper invited you for diner. her and your dad were really close, she genuinely made him happy. so you wanted to get to know her some more, and now that your dad was away it was the perfect opportunity to gossip about him. you rang the bell of her apartment. "hey, come in" Pepper said when she opened the door. you walked in, "wow this apartment is amazing" you say looking around.

"yes guess Tony had good taste" she says smiling at you. "apparently" you say smiling back. you walked over to the kitchen island. "I brought my favorite wine, hope you like it too" you said placing the bottle on the counter. "let's try" she said grabbing 2 wine glasses for the 2 of you. "how are you doing, i heard what happened at school" she said and you could hear she genuinely wanted to know how you were. "I'm managing, i'm just looking for other things to fill my day" you replied. "i saw you on the news the other day, don't you want to be an avenger?" she asked filling the wine glasses, handing one to you. "i don't know, i like the rush i felt at the museum. but the aliens and shit, i don't think that's something for me." you replied.
"but how are you?" you ask her. "I'm okay, i'm just a little worried about them" she said sharing your worry. "yeah me too, but they probably will be fine. they've done this many times before" you said trying to take some of the worry away. "so how are you and my dad doing?" you asked her curious if she felt the same about your dad, as he felt about her. "we're great, he can be a stubborn ass sometimes. but most of the times it's really great" she said smiling like crazy and you immediately knew she was good for him. "you make him really happy" you say to her. "thanks y/n, that means a lot coming from you" she said before embracing you in a hug. "so you 2 having any plans yet?" you teased. "for what?" she asked before she took a sip from her wine. "you know marriage, kids? i would like a baby brother or sister" you said and pepper almost spat out her wine. "nooo" she says loud. "don't get me wrong i love your dad, but kids, i don't know about that yet" she says in shock. "I'm just teasing you" you said to her smiling. "oh phfew" she says sighing. "besides i don't think my dad is ready for another kid yet" you say to her.
"does he ever talk with you about my mom" you asked Pepper. "yes he does, and he talk about you a lot too. he loves the 2 of you so much and he's really proud of you y/n, i know he doesn't really show you a lot, but he does" Pepper tells you. "thank you Pepper, that means a lot" you say smiling to her. the oven beeps signaling diner was ready. you sat down at the table and ate your food. "wow this is amazing, did you make this yourself?" you asked her. "yes i did, thank you" she answered. "can you teach me, because i suck at cooking" you ask her seriously. "well, if you like you can come over every Wednesday and we can cook together" she offered. "I'd love that!" you say enthusiastically.
