you follow Shuri, she walked to a big piece of land, it looked like how you imagined a land in Africa to look like. there were animals walking around, there was a small hut and a fireplace outside. "so this is where he lives now" Shuri says walking towards the hut but you're standing frozen in place. "I don't know if i can do this" you say, really nervous all of a sudden. "if you want you can wait here while i check up on him, you can watch from here and if you feel comfortable you can come down, okay?" she says, Shuri was so nice, it was like she understood and just wanted the best for you both. "okay" you say sitting down half hidden in the bushes. Shuri walked down the hill to the hut. "where is my favorite white dude at!" she yells smiling. you see Bucky walk out of his hut, dressed in African robes, his hair was really long and his metal arm was gone. you saw how he hugged Shuri, they seemed like good friends. you saw them talking to each other. Bucky looked different, calmer. you saw Shuri look over to you, she then looks at Bucky again before he walks back into his hut and she walks up to you.
"do you want to see him?" she ask you. "he looks good, calmer" you say to her. "I don't really know how he was before but he's a really good guy" she says. "you look like good friends" you say to Shuri. "yeah, he was really closed off in the beginning but he's starting to open up more now, he's getting better at expressing his feelings" she says, you smile at her "sounds familiar" you say. "go see him, i'm sure he will be happy to see you" she says. "I'm a little scared" you replied. "listen, i don't know everything that happened between you 2. but i do know he really cares a lot about you" she says "just say hi to him, that's enough" she says to you. "okay" you reply. "I'll leave you 2 alone then, if you need anything call me" she says before she walks away.
you take a deep breath before you walk down the hill towards the hut. "hi" you say softly as you stand in the entrance of the hut.

"y/n?" Bucky says surprised as he sees you. "you look good" you say with a soft smile on your face. it felt a little awkward between you 2 but it also really felt like coming home. " oh my god, how are you" he says hugging you softly. it felt weird now only feeling one arm wrap around you. as he let's go of you, you stare at the place his metal arm used to be, you probably stared for a little too long because he noticed. "I still need to get used to it too" he says as he sees you stare "come on let's sit outside". you sit down by the fire place. Bucky put on a fire as it already started to get dark. he then puts something on the fire heating it, a few minutes later he picked it off and pours it into 2 cups. "here, it's milk from my goat" he says smiling at you. "you have a goat?" you ask surprised. "who would have thought right" he said smiling. you carefully took a sip from the warm milk "hmm, that's nice" you say, it was a bit sweeter than your milk back home.
you look over at Bucky and smiled softly at him. "what?" he ask you. "nothing you just look so...calm" you say to him. "I feel a lot better" he says. "good" you reply. "I'm really sorry for not telling you y/n" he says. "it's okay i understand, you just wanted to leave that part of your life behind" you say. "no, i should have told you" he says "all this made me realize the winter soldier wasn't another person, he was and will always be part of me. he will always be there in the back of my mind somewhere" he says with tears in his eyes. "what the fuck happened when i left?" you ask him. "I'll tell you what happened, it all went to shit" he says.
