chapter 28 {finding me}

you completely zoned out when red skull began to talk again. "so as you see, no one really cares about you like i do. have i ever lied to you?" he asked you, you didn't react. "so i want to ask you something, well i want to offer you a job, as second in command" he says. you couldn't belief what he asked you. "come work at hydra and we can do amazing things together" he said. did you just hear that right, he want you to fight for him. "i" you begin but he cuts you off. "you don't have to answer right away, let it sink in first" he said. "i just" you say "do you want me as me or as a mindless, brainwashed version" you ask him. "I already told you brainwashing doesn't work on you, so i want you to make your own choice. choose this for yourself, and if you do your job right we will never hurt you again" he says. "you have my word, sleep on it and i hear from you in the morning". 2 agents take you away, but they didn't take you to a cell. no they took you to a big room, king sides bed, bathtub and everything. it was so nice, like a luxury hotel room. they looked the door behind you, leaving you alone.

what the fuck was going on you thought as you think about what you just found out. you lay down on bed. he was right, they probably wouldn't even care if you died today, would they even care if you were gone. but working for hydra, that was a whole other kind of crazy. how the fuck did you end up in this position. your eyes began to water as you think back to the video's they showed you. how Steve totally forgot about you. only remembering Peggy very clearly, he lied to you. he said he felt at least the same about you, even worse he told you he loved you even more as her. why did he lie about that, you would have understood if he told you. you just never thought Steve would ever lie to you. and then Bucky, why did he never tell you. was this the reason he didn't want to talk about his nightmares, because he saw how he killed your mom every night. it was like you didn't recognize them anymore. and then to think you were talking with them about marriage. it was stupid to think that you could marry those lying pieces of shit. you cried yourself to sleep knowing red skull was right. hydra did care more about you than they did, sure they showed it in a weird way but they never lied to you, they cared about you. maybe even more than your friends, family and lovers did.

you woke up from someone banging on your door. "one moment" you say as you quickly got dressed. 2 hydra agents burst thru the door, luckily you were fully dressed. they grab you by your arms and take you to red skulls office. "i told you she could walk herself" he said to the 2 agents in an angry voice, and they immediately let go of you. "come with me" red skull said and you follow him to a big office room. "this can be all yours, if you take my offer" he said. you had thought about his offer and your answer was simple "no" you said. "what no" he said with an angry tone. "no, i will never, in my life, work for you" you say spitting your words. "you stupid bitch!" he yelled at you "i gave you a chance of a lifetime, you're gonna regret this" he said grabbing your arm and pull you with him. he walked to the torture room ripping your shirt of off your body and cuffing your wrists. "you're going to regret this" he said irritated. "I will never work for you, you are a monster" you say literally spitting in his face only making him more angry. "you are a dead girl".
