Resisting Temptation

Chapter 14

I walked into the room where six people sat around a long meeting table for about 25 people. They were all in the middle of a conversation when we stepped in. They all turned to look at us, Alpha Richard was stood at the head of the table with his beta on his right and Alpha Benson and his beta on his left.

Further up the table were Peter and Seth's dad, Dave, who were looking over papers scattered on the desk, behind Alpha Richard was a large Map with red circles and crosses placed around both territories.

"Elle, Seth, Autumn....and Emma." Alpha Richard greeted us all. He looked at me as he said Emma.

"She's the only other person I trust with this information." I said and he nodded understandingly.

"Close the door and take a seat. No body from outside this room can know about this until we have further information. I don't want the pack to panic nor do I want my son acting without thinking."

"I heard you found your mate?" Dave asked pleased. I nodded and he hugged me. "Oh it's so good to see you again."

"You too." I smiled relaxing.

We took our seats and they caught us up with all the information they had so far. Which wasn't much.

"So we know that they, whoever they are, were watching Autumn and thought she'd be with her parents of the night of the crash. We don't think they are intending to hurt Autumn but we went back to the house after you left and found that everything you left was gone. We think they're planning their next move but now you're in Alpha Richards pack we think they're delaying it and waiting for a better opportunity to get you alone when your not around surrounded by some of the best fighters out there." Peter said.

"So she needs to be protected at all times. I can do that." Alpha Richard said.

"You mean like a body guard?" I asked not wanting someone following me 24/7.

"Yes and don't worry, he won't stand out or look suspicious so it won't bring any attention to you." Well, that made me feel slightly better.

"What about that tapes?" I asked and Dave held up two.

"They're literally just of you having dinner with your parents, going to school, shopping with your friends which reminds me, Elle and Seth, you will be staying here for more protection." 

"We've also mapped out the areas from where they recorded you, looked at the potential hiding stops and stepped up protrol duty." Alpha Richard said pointing the map. I was starting to get a headache when two loud bangs came from the door. "Come in."

"Dad, what's going on?" Jake said walking into the room.

"I'm in a meeting Jake." Jake looked around and stopped when his gaze landed on me.

"What about?" He asked not taking his eyes off of me.

"You know what, I think I've taken in all the information I need. Thank you." I said to them all and quickly went to hug Dave. "Thanks for coming."

"Anytime kid. I'll be here for a few more days yet." He smiled.

"Good." I smiled back, "Alpha Benson." I nodded at him and walked out the room with Elle, Seth, Emma and Jake following me.

"Autumn." I stopped and the others walked past me so I was left with Jake. "What was all that about?" He asked.

"Just me switching packs." I shrugged and continued walking slowly with him by my side.

"Didn't look like that. Besides, my father normally tells me about that. This felt different." He said and I struggled for words.

"I'm different."
