Chapter 23

I was waiting for him to say something. After kissing him so abruptly, surprising the both of us, I pulled back putting at least three steps between us. I was looking at him wide eyed with my lips rolled in still tingling with pleasure. Jake just looked shock with his mouth still parted, looking at me with raised eyebrows.

I don't know what shocked me more, the fact that I just out right kissed him or how the kiss made me feel. I mean, wow. I can't even explain it, putting it simply, it was absolutely amazing and it just felt completely right.

"Mmm, hi." I said not being able to take the silence much longer. Oh God! Was that the wrong thing to do? Did he move on while I'd been gone? Why wasn't he talking?! "So, er, how was your week?" I asked casually.

"I mmm..." He managed to mumble still shocked. "How was my week?" He asked confused.

"Right," I said grabbing the ends of my hair and looking down at them. "Couldn't have been any worse then mine right, getting kidnapped well, sort of. I did go to them, probably not my brightest idea but hey. When someone just keeps calling an-"

"Autumn." Jake spoke seeming to have gotten back control of his voice and the situation.

"Huh?" I said looking up at him still pulling the ends of my hair.

"You talk too much." He said stepping closer until I felt his breath brush against the side of my cheek.

"Mm, w-well, I haven't spoken to anyone in a while." I stumbled only making him smirk down at me.

"Yeah, that was some hello." What was happening to me, my knees were weak, my stomach fluttering and oh gosh, I was blushing.

"Yeah, I don't really have anything to say for that." I said and he chuckled. "Well, I suppose you could say that I was in there a long time and ugh, the cage was disgusting, but I had a lot of time to think things through and well, life's short and unpredictable so..."

"Nothing to say huh?" Jake chuckled again. "As I was saying before I was interrupted," I looked down and blushed, "I'm sorry for not being there for you before, I was just trying to plan the perfect date, after it took you so long to say yes to me I didn't want to fuck my chances up, again."

"You didn't, well, at least I'm hope you didn't. I spoke to Scarlett, she told me that you were bored of me and that she'd got you back. She said and I quote, I'm not Luna quality. Which, I agree with. Jake, I can't do any of that stuff so maybe it -"

"You really are beginning to talk way too much." Jake cut me off.

"Sorry."

"Non of that is true, I haven't been with Scarlett in years. She just wants to be in control and to be number one which she isn't. Not to me anyway." He told me looking me square in the eyes that made me flutter. Wow, is it hot in here?

"So, mm..." I began awkwardly. My heart was beating way too fast and loud, I'm pretty sure he knew how I was feeling.

"You're going to tell me everything, from the beginning." He said sternly and I nodded. No point in hiding now is there. "But first," He grabbed my face with his hands and lowered his lips to mine. I went up onto my tip toes so he didn't have to bend so much and put my hands on the back of his neck.

His hands moved from my face and down to my waist where he pulled me closer against him. His tongue ran across my bottom lip wanting entrance. I gave it to him, at this point in time I would have given him anything. His hands made their way under my shirt so they were pressed to my bare skin making my hormones go sky high.

How could one person make me feel like this by a single touch.

"Autumn, we jus-Oh, I'm sorry!" I pulled back quickly, red in the face and catching my breath.
