I sat down on my bed and crossed my legs while still holding the phone to my ear. My mood instantly lifted and my mind drifted away from all the problems in my life, at least for a moment anyway.

"What's up babe?" He said in his usual cheerpy voice.

"More like what's down." I said rolling my eyes.

"Oh come on hunny, don't be like that." He said trying to comfort me.

"Seriously, how about this, when you find your mate after he put it very blunty that he doesn't want a mate, that he wants to continue sleeping around and being a complete jerk then, I ask you not be slightly upset after everything that I've gone through and had the one thing going in my life taken away, then you can have your answer." I huffed.

"Okaaaaay," He dragged out. "Someone needs my special cookies." I laughed at his randomness.

"Yes, It's only been four days and I miss you and Elle like crazy. Come and visit me soon." I pleaded making him laugh.

"We will, Elle's already run it through the Alpha and he's letting us go next weekend." I groaned.

"Next weekend? I'm meant to go like two weeks before you come?"

"You'll be fine." He said and I sighed.

"I just miss my life Seth."

"I know, things will work out. Just give it time. Mmm, I gotta go...mum's calling me, talk later."

"Bye Seth." I said hanging up the phone and falling back on my bed.

"So are we going to have this talk now?" I heard Emma's voice from the doorway of my room. I lifted myself up onto my elbows to look at her. She raised her eyebrows and walked over to the desk chair. "Start any time you like." She said making herself comfortable.

I bit my lip before sitting up slowly. I could already see her reaction.

"Have they all left downstairs?" I asked not wanting to take any chances that anybody could over hear me.

"Yeah, Maisie's just locking up." She said frowning. I nodded.

"Ok." I said going through my mind where to start. Do I tell her about just Jake or do I start from the beginning about my parents.

"Autumn, I don't want to pressure you. Obviously whatever it is, is hard for you by the look on your face." She said quickly. "You don't have to tell me." I didn't have to tell her, I felt relieved when she said that but I kind of wanted to tell her.

It would be nice to have someone other then Maisie to talk to.

"I want to." I said after thinking it through. "It happened about four weeks ago. My best friend Elle had broken up her boyfriend after he found his mate. My parents and I were going out for a meal for my fathers birthday but I got a call from a broken Elle.

"It's not often Elle crys or shows her emotions so I knew it was bad and my dad understood and dropped me off at hers instead. I got a call later that night around 2am. On the way back from their meal that my parents were involved in a car accident.

"My father died in impact, my mother didn't pass until they got her to the hospital. They were too badly injuried for their wolves to heal them. Anyway, a few days later my old Alpha told me I'd have to move here with my aunt cause she's my only living relative and I'm under 18."

"Oh Autumn, I'm sorry." She said shocked.

"Trust me, it gets worse." I said pursing my lips. "The night of Jakes party I was babysitting Lizzy after locking up the cafe. I was making her brownies and a milkshake...I promised her it if she behaved."
