Stood in front of me was one of the most gorgeous guys I'd ever laid eyes on. To start with, whoa, his body was H.O.T and I'm looking through a t-shirt. He had a strong, defined jaw line and in a slight need of a shave but if you ask me, it only made him look more like a Greek god. His hair, oh my lord what I would give to touch it or run my fingers through it. It looked so soft and shiny and brown and oh wow. His chocolate eyes were looking around the place and I was silently gratefully that he didn't notice me checking him out.

Stop staring Autumn you freak! I shook my head and placed the bowl in front of Lizzy while I swallowed and cleared my throat gaining his attention.

"We're closed." I said and was pleased with how strong my voice came out.

"I know but I saw the light on and you working and I'm in desperate need of a coffee." He said standing next to Lizzy who looked up at him in surprise.

"I'm sorry-"

"Autumn!" Lizzy whispered cutting me off. I frowned my leaned down when she motioned to whisper in my ear. "He's the alpha's son." She said and I'm pretty sure he heard with the smirk plastered on his face. I rolled my eyes, sure he's hot but that doesn't mean he's about to get any special treatment. Every teenage Alpha-to-be I knew and come across were Jerks.

"And we're closed Lizzy." I said looking back at her. She had wide eyes and was shaking her head. I turned back to the guy who had his eyebrow raised. "Look, to me, you're just another guy. If your looking for special treatment you won't find it here." I shrugged turning around.

From the corner of my eye I saw Lizzy slap her forehead with her hand.

"Alright Lizzy." The guy said now talking to Lizzy.

"Hi Jake." She replied smiling.

"Looks like you're the only one allowed special treatment in here huh?" He asked and I sighed. Was he really going to go there? "How'd you do it?" He asked glancing at me when I turned back around crossing my arms.

"I didn't want to get off the swing and she was running late so she promised me ice cream." She grinned taking another scoop of ice cream.

"Well, how about this." He said now leaning on the counter looking at me with a smile that could melt ice. Get it together Autumn! "Today is my birthday so considering your new, how about that coffee and all is forgiven?" He shrugged his shoulder smiling.

"And what exactly would be forgiven?" I asked back and from the look on his face, I'd say not many people have turned him down for anything or spoken back to him. His jaw clenched and hands balled but he somehow managed to clam himself down. Not bad for an Alpha, normally they'd lose control in a second.

"I've had a very stressful day." He said running his hands through his hair.

"Say please," Lizzy whispered to him.

"Please." He said looking at me now with a worn out expression. Sighing, I caved and turned to the coffee maker. "Thank you." I heard him mumble while he sat down next to Lizzy.

"Happy Birthday." I said handing him his coffee. Leaning back on the side I tilted my head as I wondered what he was doing here. Shouldn't he be enjoying his birthday? Hell, he should have or very close to be meeting his mate, he should be happy.

"What?" He asked after sipping his coffee. "Like what you see?" He asked cockily.

"No, I-doesn't matter." I shook my head deciding not to pry, Lizzy on the other hand had no problem.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at your party? My mummy is."

"Lizzy!" I said throwing a tea towel in her face. She picked it off and gave me an innocent smile.
