[Three days after the encounter with Kai Parker]

AUTUMN'S POV

I was the last one in the library again, but it always happens to me, so I wasn't surprised. What can I say? I'm a fan of books. Yet again, it was more than just loving books. It makes me feel connected, like I have a purpose. Learning spells and getting better at my magic is essential to me because to be a higher up? You must be a worthy witch in the eyes of the Coven and Gemini ancestors.

I bit my lip, scanning through the texts of a grimoire I got my hands on. My finger glides against the text and stops at a mesmerizing spell.

"Huh?" I arched my brow curiously.

Should I test this spell out? Or would that be a bad idea? But yet again...I kinda want to know what it does. This spellbook doesn't give me a description of what this spell is. It was just chilling there, ready to get used any day now, so would it hurt?

After a lot of consideration, I knew what to do...

"Yup, I'm gonna test it out." I said, mainly to make myself feel better.

And don't get me wrong, I know the phrase 'curiosity killed the cat' but I don't care. This place is empty anyways, so if it ends up being a catastrophe, I can clean it up with a good old fashion repair spell.

"Alright!" I clap my hands together while taking a deep breath before I start the spell. I stood up to make it easier to do the spell or attempt to do the spell, I should say.

I shut my eyes, chanting the words with my hands expended out in front of me.

"Lim ala da ala dili."

I felt a slight breeze as I continue to chant the spell. The feeling of papers and books flying around the library was prominent. My eyes snapped open, looking around at everything that swung around me.

"Lim ala da ala dili!"

I chanted louder with full concentration, feeling my hair fly around my face and a sharp pain forming in my chest and head.

The spell is strong, stronger than what I can take. And of course, I am way too stubborn to stop the spell now. If I stop the spell now, then what kinda witch does that make me? A worthless witch who can't be a higher up.

I let out a shaky breath, not letting the spell overpower me. My eyes fell shut again, forcing my magic to work harder than it had ever worked before. I continued the spell and felt a hand on my shoulder, although that didn't stop me.

I heard a voice but ignored it, focusing on the spell. Once it was finished, my eyes fluttered open, but the dizziness in my head made me lose my balance.

Fortunately, strong arms caught me before I hit the floor. "What the hell are you doing, Orange?"

Wait- that husky and sexy voice. Where have I heard it before...? Hold on. Orange?
