Chapter Twenty Three

[The Highs and The Lows]

KAI'S POV

The secrets that I keep are creeping up to haunt me- to expose who I really am deep down. The side that I hide from the world, what if she finds it? My little secret. How do I disguise it from her? I couldn't keep my eyes off of Orange as the sun reflected across her delicate features from the crack of my curtains. A smile spread across my lips as she snuggled close to me, having one leg wrapped around my body. Orange snuggled on my chest while soft snores came from her mouth.

It was 10 in the morning, but I'd been awake since 9, admiring her as she slept. The night we shared replayed in my head like a drug I couldn't get enough of.

It was passionate and sexy- The way she moaned my name and looked at me like I was everything to her has really affected me. Not to mention, I fucked her raw; who would've thought Orange could break me like that. The thought made me roll my eyes playfully before it hit me.

We fucked without protection. Shit.

Looking down at her, I peel her leg off of me and wiggle my way out of the bed. No way in hell will I be impregnating anyone. Me a father? Nope. Not part of my plans, and god forbid I ever become a father. I'm too fucked up in the head to bring a human into this world. Sighing deeply, I walk over to my door and turn to look at Orange for a brief second before cracking the door open and stepping out.

Once carefully shutting the door, I turn around to greet a suspicious-looking twin. Jo arched her brow with hands on her hips. I scoff and walk past her, "Where is she?" The girl questioned while following me down the hall and over to dads office.

"Where is who?" I say, knowing who she meant, but I didn't feel like answering her. Jo huffed and quickly stepped in front of me, forcing myself to look at her. I glare at my sister in annoyance, "She's in my bed, now out of my way. I need to go in dad's office." I push her out of my way, and she let out a gasp.

"Kai, there's something called excuse me, and why are you searching for trouble!" She whispered yelled. "You know dad doesn't like us going in there, especially you..." She trails off while I try to open the door, but it is locked. "Shit." I muttered to myself and turned to my sister.

"It's too early to hear your voice, so go talk to someone that actually cares about whatever you're worried about." I snapped at her, and Jo flinched back. "You are such a dick." She spat, shaking her head. "Tell me something I don't know." I snort, keeping my eyes on the door. Jo let out a laugh and crossed her arms. "You know...- I could easily help you get in dad's office, but you know what? I don't like the way you talk to me, so I guess I should go talk to someone who cares, right?" Jo sassed me and turned around, leaving.
