Chapter Thirty Nine

[Breaking Point]

AUTUMN'S POV

I couldn't be any happier.

Never did I think this day would ever come, not in a long time that is. But here I am, packing my things to stay in the Gemini Coven for a couple days - man there was so much I wanted to do there. . .so many people I needed to talk to.

First, I'd like to see my family again - the people who raised me, who I still see as my parents. We left things on a sour note with everything that happened with Joshua and well - the Eclipse Coven. Things have been awkward, so I want to fix things with them. I still love them, even though I kept my distance.

They probably hate me now but I still love them and my siblings. I hope they understand I needed this break from everyone - everything to figure things out.

Because anyone who finds out they're adopted and stolen from a different family can overcomplicate things. It's like I felt guilty for spending time with my dad and brother in the Eclipse Coven than my other family in the Gemini Coven that I didn't see them, but its not like I could anyway.

I was cut off from the coven, and they didn't bother to visit me - even call. They were mad, which I don't blame entirely. I changed and turned into the daughter they didn't recognize anymore. One who does things she wouldn't dare do a couple months ago.

The daughter whose no longer a Finch but a Solar.

Second, my relationship with my siblings is something I need to fix. I haven't talked to them since Christmas, which is horrible. I'm so mad at myself for ignoring them, but I felt like I couldn't see them. Like I wasn't welcomed anymore.

That being said true, I still should've called because I'm the big sister, and it's on me.

"All packed?" Kai emerged from the door with some cookies in his hands, shoving one in his mouth with gleaming eyes. "You moving in or something?' He muffles, pointing at my suitcase filled with many things.

I shut my suitcase and zip it. "I'm not. There's just some things I want to give my little sister."

Kai let out a little snort, eating another cookie. "Don't think a ten year old needs some twenty one year old girl's clothes." He shoves the last cookie in his mouth and dusts his hands. "You seem worked up." He walks to me, pulling me into his arms.

I held onto his shoulders and met his gaze. "I am worked up. . .like what if they hate me? I can't come empty handed like, hello it's your older sister remember me?" My voice was silly as the words came from my mouth.

Kai grins, "A new wardrobe from you isn't gonna make things any better."

"Thanks for making me feel so much better," I say sarcastically.

"You're welcome. I try." He humored me, making me roll my eyes and pull away.

I turn back to the suitcase. "What if I can't be redeemed?"
