~Skeppy's pov~
I slowly open my eyes. Last night had been chaotic, which was partially my fault, but after the nightmares had passed, it was so much better.
One of the first things I realized after fully waking up was that I wasn't wearing my box.
I had asked Bad to sit with me! Did he see what I look like?!
The cyan cube was laying next to me, sitting above all the sheets. I grab it using one of my hands. As I pull it in, holding it close and preparing to put it back on, I make my second realization of the morning.
It wasn't my dull, snow colored comforter that I had been clinging to moments prior. I was simply stunned at the item I still had clutch in my right hand. It was a certain, black cape, with a crimson trim.
At first, I frantically looked around, nervous that Bad may still be around to see my uncovered face.
But he was no where to be found, the only evidence of him ever being in my room was the cape itself. A cape that held a heavy sent of ash and rain...
Although, I didn't have much time to be think on it, as my door begins to creak open.
"Wait-"
I don't even have time to finish, or pull my box over my head, as Bad enters the room. He looks... unusual to say the least.
On top of not have his signature hooded cloak on, he was wearing a grey, checkered bandana over his milky eyes.
I can't help but snicker a tiny bit, while also feeling a sense of relief.
"What?!" Bad asked, as he carefully walks over to the bed, sitting down next to me.
Assuming the cloth over his face obstructs his vision, it was actually quite impressive how easily he could walk while basically blinded.
"Anyways Skeppy, today is the day! We are going to see Niki!"
I look up at his grinning face, trying to take him seriously with the bandana over his eyes.
"You look so stupid..."
"Hey!"
"Oh, and speaking of seeing things," my voice drops into a far more serious tone, "you didn't... you know..."
It take him a moment to realize what I was talking about, but it's clear the instant he does figure it out.
"Oh! No. The box began to fall off while you were asleep, that's when I put the thingy over my eyes."
I let out a sigh of totally relief, glad to still have the chance to show him in my own time.
Also, that is some serious loyalty. Putting on a blindfold to make someone else comfortable... Bad is too kind sometimes...
"Soooo, when can I have my cape back? Your little grabby hands are impossible to pry off."
A wave of embarrassment crashes over me as I shove the cloak over to him. He seemed content, clipping the cape back into its place and pulling the hood up.
"Also! I brought us these!"
I watch as Bad unfolds a large piece of parchment to reveal a pile of salmon colored berries.
"What are those?" I ask, mostly inquiring on the fact that they might be toxic.
"Oh, they're this kind of berry that used to grow here before the life was choked out of my realm!"
...
"Bad. That is such a dark thing to say. How can someone say that so cheerfully?"
He shrugged as he plucked up one of the berries, popping it into his mouth.
"You might want to eat some of these Skeppy, we have a long walk ahead of us."
"Yeah yeah."
I hate walking to places here...
Why does everything have to be so far away?!
~Author time~
Yep, another short, filler chapter.
Although, I do have the next chapter planned!
So how are you all doing?
I had to stay home today because I felt sick, but I feel better now!
Also: XD = hidden backstory?
No, XD will not be getting a backstory in this series. However, I may do a kind of side story to show a bit about him after I get more of this done.
Thank you all for being patient with me.
You all mean the world!
Take care lovelies!
