I didn't expect Ajax would be here anytime soon. I thought they'd probably come by midnight kahit sinabi naman niya sa text. I was shocked to see him.
Kahit nasisilaw ako sa spotlight sa stage habang kumakanta kami ni Jacques ay namataan ko siyang naglalakad. Kasama niya ang mga ka-banda at papalapit sa isang table. Nauna sina Hesperus at Eris na umupo. Tanner and Ajax were together. Tanner was grinning as he looked at the stage while patting Ajax's shoulder who was looking at us with creased forehead.
Sumunod na rin sila sa pag-upo at hindi naaalis ang mga mata ni Ajax sa stage kung nasaan kami ni Jacques. Uminit ang mukha ko nang maramdaman ang lingon sa akin ni Jacques nang sa kanya na ang linya.

Can't stop looking at the door.
Wishing you'd come sweeping in the way you did before," he sang with his husky voice.
I couldn't help but look at him back so we could have an eye contact while singing. This is one of the deeds I'd learned from my mentors in Fresh Wave and it was helping me. Kaya automatic ko na ring nagagawa tuwing may jamming nitong lumipas na mga buwan.
Jacques smiled as we both sang but I couldn't give it back even though I thought of doing the same. I just didn't want to make Ajax feel jealous of this performance with his cousin. Alam ko iyong insecurities niya noon at kahit ngayon ay ayaw kong ma-trigger iyon uli.
"And I wonder if I ever cross your mind," I sang while looking at Jacques.
He arched his brows without tearing the eye contact. "For me it happens all the time."
I simply looked in front again as we both hit the chorus part.
"It's a quarter after one.
I'm a little drunk and I need you now.
Said I wouldn't call, but I lost all control

And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now..."
My eyes flew to Ajax again. Ajax puckered his lips while watching us. Nakatingin din sina Hesperus na may halong paglalaro sa ekspresyon at si Tanner na panay ang pagbungisngis at simpleng sulyap kay Ajax habang si Eris naman ay mukhang clueless na walang pakealam sa patagong tuksuhan ng mga kaibigan.
I licked my lips. I saw Ajax fiddling with his cellphone that made me roll my eyes.
Who is he chatting right now?!
He craned his neck to the side and our eyes crossed, he shifted on his seat and put his phone down. A playful but proud grin flashed on his face. He looked somehow comfortable. Well, that's kinda surprising. His eyes were gleaming. It suddenly felt like he was the only one here. I couldn't stop staring at him, it was hard to take my eyes off him as if he would leave my sight any moment. As if I was just dreaming and everything wasn't real...
Can't I just marry him now?
My lips twitched as he pouted and winked simply. He looked like he was cheering me up in silence. He was wearing a white shirt with a minimal print on the chest part, paired with denim ripped jeans. Clean hair cut looked really good on him.
Ang guwapo-guwapo niya sa paningin ko palagi kahit madalas naman kaming magkita at magkasama. I just want to make out or even make love with him all day and stare at him after.
God, I'm so glad I found someone who makes me crave like this. This has never happened before.
Kinurap ko ang mga mata at napanatag na hindi naman siya panaginip at nanatili lang doon habang pinapanood ako na may ngisi sa labi. Uminit ang mukha ko sa kasalukuyang naiisip.
