It's been days already since that happened... meeting the one who hired me to kill her.

She's tiny with a black not too long wavy hair, a skinny girl but her body shape can still visibly seen from her tight outfit, and lastly, her lovely innocent look.

The thing that made me feel so hard to pull the trigger no matter how desperate she sounded that day, but her eyes made me feel more that she ain't really ready. I made the right choice, money is just money... but life is everything.

Yeah..... life is everything but I still kill people which I never really intend of ending up. This is not the kind of life that I was hoping to be but I am here now, and this is me now.

I sighed as I grabbed the cup of coffee in front of me, took a sip from it and heard the entrance door opened with a metallic sound everytime it hits the thing being hanged on the side of it.

I looked at the window with the quiet road view as I still deeply thinking about the same woman that hired me. I wonder how she's doing, is she alright? Did she really realized in sparing her life?

"One large macchiato, please." the newly entered customer ordered her coffee, she sounded familiar so I quickly turned my gaze at her which it reveals to me the same body figure of the woman that I am currently thinking about.

My eyes widens but had to act normal once she turned her body away from the counter and sat down on a chair at the corner space.

I was eyeeing her the whole time, it was really her. The one who hired me to kill her, I'm sure of it.

I stared at her deeply that day, and up until now, I wasn't able to forget her face. She's too pretty, and easy to remember. She has this charisma that everyone would easily fallen in love with her by just her looks.

She received her order, she smiled so widely at the crew like she's living a perfect life that no one would expect her that she wanted to end her life few days ago if you are someone who doesn't know her at all. I wonder what's the reason behind why she became suicidal, or why does she have to hire someone to kill her instead of just ending herself.

Seeing those innocent eyes and smile, I knew to this day,

that I really wanted to be close to her, and know her. She's someone that deserves the world.

I took the last sip from the cup of my coffee, I stood up along with my coat in my arm and slowly took my steps ahead to her table. The coffee shop became crowded, loud and busy.

"Hey? Can I share a seat with you?" I asked looking at her shyly, she slowly looked up to me and showed me a welcoming aura of hers, she nodded and smiled.

"Of course."

I widely smiled and quickly sat down to the empty seat in front of her, "Uh-- sorry to the disturbance, I'm just uhm, you know... wondering if I can be friends with you?" I asked, I swear I'm so nervous but I don't know how I made it.

I can see the happiness in her face, I witnessed every detail of her reaction that I would love to replay in my mind over and over again and I don't regret eating my ego for approaching her without having the second thought.

She nodded with a wide smile on her face, her eyes glow just the way I saw how it glows the time she watches the city lights.

It was a minute or so of staring at each other quietly, I shyly extended my arm to her, offering a handshake.

then she happily extended hers, "Jennie." she introduces herself before I can.

"Jennie?" I smiled as I nod my head slowly, "Your name fits you for being such a beauty." I don't know where all of my confidence coming from but I'm loving it... I guess this is the right way to become closer to her.

We let go our hands, she was blushing and she looks really cute... I forgot introducing my name, maybe she forgot about it for giving her a compliment.

She took a sip from her coffee and licked the excess from her lips, "I'm just wondering-- why you suddenly wanted to be friends with me?" she smiled but confused at the same time, "I just thought that this kind of things only happens in the movies..." then she softly chuckled.

I laughed from the way she laugh and the way she thinks... she really deserve the world.

"I don't know? I just find it so brave of you for going out alone, being here alone and doesn't mind the surrouding full of people, chit chatting and laughing around with their friends... so I thought that maybe you wanted a company? or I was wrong?" then chuckled in a lower tone to avoid the awkwardness.

"I'm used to it..." she said from looking at me now got all her focus into her coffee.

She's used to it? I guess she's always alone... why would such a beautiful girl be alone all the time? Most of the good looking girls have always the attention that most people would always want to spend their time with them just to witness their beauty from time to time, and I would literally do the same thing. But I guess, she's really having a tough life.

"Sooo... you're single?" She looked up to me that made me feel a bit uncomfortable, "Sorry for asking.." I quickly added.

"No it's fine... and yes is the answer. Were you trying to hit on me?" then she chuckles.

I awkwardly laughed, I don't know what to say. I don't have any plans to become something more with her, all I wanted is to become closer to her and give her the happiness that she deserves, "N-No... I mean, you're pretty and perfect but... you know... that's not my intention for sharing the seat with you." I scratched my nape as I try to explain myself.

She continued laughing, "I know... I know.. you just wanted to take a seat since the place is already crowded."

I sighed in relief, I guess she didn't noticed me for being here already the time she entered the shop.

I just awkwardly agreed on her.

Then she took the last sip from her coffee, "I'm heading off now, thank you. It was nice meeting you.. You at least made my day better." she widely smiled at me as she carries her stuff along with her.

"W-- Wait!" I spoke just before she can leave, "M-- May I know your number?" I pulled all my strength to ask that, I won't ever forgive myself if I let the chance slip.

She chuckles, "I knew you were really hitting on me. Check the receipt I left there." she widely smiled and left.

I watched her leave, then I turned my gaze on the receipt that she was saying and I took it, "So this is why she took out a pen from her bag and wrote this." I said under my breath as I stare at the receipt with her number written on it.
