Penny- Good luck, Cole! Have fun!

You wave back to Penny as you enter the council chamber building. There are few windows, and lots of rather dimly lit areas.

Soldier- Cole Rose?

An infantryman walks over and you nod to them.

Soldier- Follow me please.

Doing so, you're led to a set of wooden doors. He pulls them open and gestures for you to enter.

James- Cole. Thank you for coming on such short notice.

You step inside and walk to James.

Sleet- This is the young man?

You look up to see a row of Atlesians in expensive clothing. The members of council for Atlas. One is immediately recognisable as Jacques Schnee, head of the SDC.

Jacques- He doesn't seem much.

James- I assure you, his appearance is, albeit a bit slim, very deceiving.

Sleet- Please, young man, introduce yourself.

You look to James and he nods. With a deep breath you step forward.

Cole- My name is Cole Rose. I'm from the island of Patch, just west of Vale. I'm uh, eighteen years old and I'm a former student of Beacon Academy.

Camilla- Why leave the chance to be a huntsman?

Cole- Well... I-

James- His sisters and father grew abusive and made the environment unsafe for him. That, and he attended the academy for the intellectual side of their facilities rather than combat side.

Sleet- Then please, James, tell us about the progress young Cole has made so far under your watch.

James- Of course. Despite his age, Cole is our newest Sphere Controller and our head researcher regarding gravity anomalies in our galaxy. And he's discovered something interesting.

Jacques- Yes... the...

He looks over a page and hums.

Jacques- "Black hole". What exactly is that?

James- Cole.

You step forward again.

Cole- A black hole is a gravity anomaly that we can't describe properly quite yet. But what we do know is that it's acting as the uh... for lack of a better word, glue. Its gravitational pull is so great that the entire galaxy spins around it.

Jacques- So what would happen if you got close to it?

Cole- We don't actually know. Well, not entirely. We do know one thing and we hope to learn more about it. The black hole has such a powerful pull that not even light can escape it.

Sleet- Light itself? So if that's the case, what is inside it? Where does everything go?

Cole- We don't know. We've launched a drone to try and get some closer data, but it could take a while for the information to come back.

Jacques- What benefit does this bring to Atlas?

James- Understanding how a gravity anomaly works could help us design new technology. If we know how gravity can be harnessed properly, we can create incredible structures, machines, weapons and craft. Efficiency could be increased a thousand fold.

Camilla- This is all interesting, and I am very thankful for your help Cole. But may we move towards the elephant in the room? The kingdoms attacking us!
