Winter- Thank you for doing this, Cole. But with James down, we need to put in two hundred percent for a while. It's a wonder how he did this everyday.
Cole- It's no issue, love. Just remind me why I have to go to Argus first?
Winter- Right. Well, since your presence isn't going to be completely official, we need to get you into the city without playing all the bells and whistles.
Cole- So I'll take the Argus Limited to Mistral, then a public flight to Vale, and get to work?
Winter- Exactly. See, you already know what to do. Just rest in Argus for a day or two to prepare.
Cole- I'll have to ditch my clothes for less official ones.
Winter- You're going to rendezvous with the supervisor of the Argus base. Special Operative Caroline Cordovin. Just as a quick word of advice, she's got quite the ego. But she should be able to get whatever you need.
Cole- Gotcha, I'll be sure to boost it a little while I'm there.
She laughs over the call.
Winter- I love you Cole, please be safe.
Cole- I promise I will. Love you, too.
Winter- Bye.
Cole- Bye.
The call ends, and you look out the window of the airship.
Cole- So that's Argus...
The beautiful port city below comes into view, making you hum.
What a lovely view. Must be one of prettiest cities on Remnant.
Pilot- Doctor Rose, sir, we're coming in for landing.
Cole- Very good, pilot. Thanks for the ride.
Hovering down onto a landing pad, the doors slide open to reveal a short elderly woman with two nubuck guards either side of her.
Cordo- Councilman Rose, it's an honour to have you here in Argus, sir!
She salutes, and you disembark the craft and nod.
Cole- Thank you for accommodating me for this short while, Specialist. It's much appreciated.
As she lowers the salute, you extend your hand and shake hers.
Cordo- Please know that I will supply you with anything you require during your stay, along with the necessary items for your mission. Acting General Schnee called ahead.
Cole- Wonderful to hear. For now, might I be shown to a room? I'm a bit tired from the flight.
Cordo- Of course, sir! Please follow me this way!
Walking quickly through the military facility, you admire the design differences compared to Atlas' main base.
Cole- I have to say, you keep a lovely facility, Specialist. It's much more appealing than Atlas locations.
Cordo- That's courtesy of our placement here in Mistral. The decision was to make the base more unique and more appealing. After all, it is Atlas' largest foreign base.
Cole- Impressive indeed.
Stopping at a corridor with several doors, she gestures to one.
Cordo- Please make yourself comfortable, Councilman. If you need me, I shall be in my office on the top floor.
Cole- One thing before you go, Specialist Cordovin.
She stops and turns to face you.
Cole- I'd like to go out and about to see Argus tomorrow, so if I'm not here early morning, don't be surprised.
