Entering the office, Winter looks up and smiles.

Winter- Hey.

Cole- Hey...

Winter- Sit down.

You do so, and she sighs.

Cole- Winter, I'm sorry. I acted out. I shouldn't have let my anger get ahold of me. And while I don't regret what I did to Taiyang in the slightest, I regret the fact that you saw it.

She stays silent, then nods.

Winter- Cole.

She raises a hand, opens her mouth, then hums.

Winter- I... understand.

Cole- You do?

Winter- I've known you long enough to know the difference between your anger and your grief, Cole. Gods sake, you're my husband. So I understand. James means a lot to me as well. He's my friend, and one of my role models.

Cole- He's the same to me.

Winter- And more. He's the father you wish you had, Cole. And don't try and argue for your own pride, you know it's true.

Opening your mouth to retaliate, you stop as you realise her point.

Cole- You're right. You're always right.

She reaches across the desk and takes your hand, smiling.

Winter- I forgive you for yesterday. It was a difficult day for all of us. We all needed to do something.

Cole- I just wish I could control my anger. It gets so out of hand.

Winter- Maybe. But I'm here for that. So are Clover and Yang and Elm and everyone else. Your friends and family are here to help you. And I love you, don't forget that.

Cole- I could never forget your love, honey.

You kiss her hand, and smile.

Winter- I'm glad. Now, we need to talk.

Sitting up straight, she turns around her terminal and displays the cell block.

Winter- An alert was sent to me yesterday. By a protocol I'm not familiar with, but it had you written all over it. A small watchlist of sorts.

Cole- I set one up for some... specific individuals that I want to keep an eye out for.

Winter- Well. If that's the case, then we have one. And you used her baton yesterday to beat Taiyang.

You scour your memories of the prior day, then lean forwards with a scowl.

Cole- Emerald. She's the guard.

Winter- What's so special that you want to watch out for her?

Cole- I just got information that she's not exactly an ally.

Winter- From where?

Cole- It's best if you don't know.

Winter- Cole, please tell me.

Cole- ...

"Are you going to tell her?"

I want to.

"Then you should. She is your significant other."

But what if she loses trust in me.

"The chances of that are minute if you tell the truth."

Fine then.

Cole- I have a collaborator within Salem's ranks. They've been feeding me information.
