You're wandering around the academy, carefree and grinning. 

Mercury- Well, someone's jolly? What's the big deal, Cole?

Mercury and Emerald walk either side of you.

Cole- I did it. I stood up to those bitches, and they've left me alone ever since.

Emerald- Nicely done. How'd you do it?

Cole- I used my semblance to create a miniature black hole.

They stop dead in their tracks.

Mercury- A-

Emerald- Black hole?

Mercury- Like those things that suck things in from space?

Cole- Uh... yeah.

Emerald- Wow~ ... That's, uh... really cool, Cole... We, uh... gotta go. See ya.

Cole- Bye?

They leave quickly, and you scratch your head.

Cole- What's with them?

James- Mister Rose.

You freeze, and pivot around. Only to look up at General James Ironwood of the Atlesian Military.

Cole- Uh... uh... H-hello there, s-sir. 

The general chuckles, and puts out his hand.

James- Please, call me James.

You shake his hand nervously.

James- Now. I was told you have quite the knowledge on stellar bodies and space itself. Is this correct?

Cole- Uh... 

You clear your throat.

Cole- It is, sir... James.

James- Wonderful. I have a very interesting offer for you, young man. Walk with me.

You walk beside him through the halls, towards the main courtyard.

Cole- What kind of offer?

James- Ozpin told me about you standing up to your sisters. Well done. That shows great courage.

You rub your arm, embarrassed.

Cole- I was tired of being a plaything. I couldn't stand it anymore.

James- And that's fine... Tell me, Cole. What do you think about space?

Cole- Space? Well...

You think of something to say.

Okay, Cole. Play this carefully. He's the most powerful military leader in all of Remnant.

Cole- Space is something we know so little about... I can never really say that we know accurately what makes the stars tick, or where all this energy and emptiness came from. No one really can. Some things are impossible, sir. 

He smiles and nods.

James- You're even smarter than they say, Cole. I'm very impressed.

He looks up, and a crowd of students part.

James- SCHNEE!!

Winter Schnee stops, and looks back. You spot your uncle Qrow, and he sneers at you.

Qrow- Hey, Jimmy. What's with the pet?

He gestures to you, and James steps forward.

James- Qrow. What are you doing here?

Qrow- I could be asking you the same question.

Ozpin- Now, now. There's a sanction fight in the arena nearby. Which I assure you has better seats... And popcorn.

Glynda- Break it up, everyone! We will handle this mess.

James- Hm... Fine. Come along, Winter. Cole, you follow.

You trail back, and Winter looks at you.

Winter- ......

Cole- U-um... Hi, Miss Schnee.

Winter- That is Specialist Schnee, young man. Who might you be, anyway?

Cole- Oh. Cole Rose. It's... It's a pleasure to meet you.

You put out your hand to shake, but she just rolls her eyes and looks away.

Winter- The pleasure is all mine... What does the general want with you?

Cole- I... Don't really know.
