Ozpin- So, James, what have you been up to today? Relaxing, I hope.

James- Unfortunately I don't have time to relax. I was sorting out reports and handling requests from some of my officers.

Qrow- So not much, gotcha.

Ozpin- And how about you, Cole? Did you enjoy your outing with your sisters?

Cole- It was fun for a while. Except for a misunderstanding in the end involving an older and more biased citizen.

Glancing around you note the details of the room you're in. It's a basic faculty lounge, with a number of tables brought together for a group dinner.

Qrow- What'd you do?

Cole- I did nothing. In fact, Yang brought the police down on us.

Qrow- Sounds like Yang. What'd the cops say?

Cole- I explained the situation calmly and professionally. Yang and her team ran off before they could do anything.

Qrow- Ah, kids. They grow up so fast.

Cole- Evading police isn't growing up, it's suspected criminal activity.

Qrow- Hey, everyone's committed a felony at some point.

Cole- No, not everyone has. Some people have what is called "common sense".

James- Cole, that's enough.

You bow your head, embarrassed.

Cole- Sorry James.

Qrow- Yeah, I guess I didn't teach the girls to ditch people with the cops. That's a bit rough.

James- Especially to their own brother, I'd like to bring up.

Qrow- Well they're getting used to that kinda relationship.

Glynda- Yes, because as we know, that relationship didn't exactly exist in their younger years.

Qrow- I uh, contributed to that.

James- You almost sound proud.

Qrow- I'm not, I swear.

Cole- Liar.

Qrow- Huh?

Fuck sakes, how loud do I whisper?

Cole- I called you a liar. You're the most proud person of all the stuff you did. You try to act like a person who's realised your failures, but it's all a facade. I see through you, Qrow.

James- Cole!

You stare at Qrow sternly, before looking at your plate and focusing on the food.

Ozpin- Do you want to respond, Qrow? Or can I happily change the topic?

Cole- I've no issue.

Qrow- Well I do.

You feel the table shake as Qrow stands up. He walks over and stops beside you.

Qrow- You don't know how to respect your elders, kid.

You take a bite, and wash it down with a sip of your water.

Qrow- You listening to me!?

He grabs your plate and splatters it on your coat. You grip your knife tightly, and close your eyes.

James- Qrow, you've gone far enough! Sit back down before I have you arrested!

You push back your chair and stand up, turning to Qrow.
