Exiting the portal, you crouch down and look around the dark room. It's empty.

Damn, if he's awake it'll be a problem.

Lightly stepping to the doorway, you peer out and see Cole very much awake, sitting in a chair on the apartment balcony.

Fuck. This is going to be loud no matter what I do.

Gripping Omen, you quietly step out into the lounge room, trying to stay in the shadows as much as possible. Though you duck down as he looks inside.

Okay, fine.

Opening a portal directly to him, you leap out and slash. He cries out and falls back out of the chair.

Cole- Raven!?

Grabbing him and covering his mouth, you raise the hilt of Omen to strike.

Fuck, the gun!

Only now you see him pull his handgun out of its holster and push it into your chest. You release your hold on him and step back as he grips the weapon in both hands.

Cole- What the fuck are you doing here!?

Raven- You know exactly why I'm here, boy. Ozpin wants you. And I'm willing to sell you to him for a good number of lien.

Cole- You bandit motherfucker, I'll die before I get locked up in Beacon.

Raven- Sorry to say, Ozpin won't be too upset if I bring your body back with me either.

He steps back towards the railing and glances backwards.

Raven- Don't be stupid. You won't survive a fall like that.

Cole- You're probably right, but like I said, I'll die before I get locked up!

He vaults over and you lunge forward, just missing him with your hand.

Raven- Fuck!

Cole PoV

The wind screams past as you fall, and you raise your hands and form two gravity wells. To your relief, it slows you down.

Ground is still coming up quickly! Shit!

Bending your knees, you hit the ground and roll, though still end of scraping your face against the concrete a bit.

Cole- Agh. Fuck.

You slowly get up and reach into your pocket. Taking out your scroll, you call James and start limping away from the building.

James- Cole, it's three in the morning. What-

Cole- Raven! She's here! She tried to grab me! Said she's gonna ransom me to Ozpin!

James- Fuck! Where are you!?

Cole- Just outside my apartment building!

You turn and grimace as a portal opens.

Cole- Oh fuck! James, I need help quick!

James- Get to a guard post! Or the academy! Find help!

Raven- Come here!

You drop the scroll and spin around, slamming your fist into Raven's cheek. Her mask comes off, revealing her almost glowing red eyes.

Raven- You're resilient! I'll give you that!

She slashes with her Ōdachi, Omen. Dashing back, you avoid the long blade and use an orb to blind her.

Raven- Agh!
