There stood an average height old man; adorn with a winter coat and collected snow on his shoulders and beanie that hasn't melted yet.
What Soobin notices next is a scar on his cheek. It seems to have been left by a sharp object of some kind.
"Hi! Does a boy by the name of Huening Kai live here?" The man takes his hat off as he greets the younger male.
"I-I'm sorry, who are you, sir?" Soobin asks both politely and worried. Then his head thought of something 'Is he the library-'
Yet before Soobin could conjure a fist, the man replied to his question. "Oh, I'm his father."
And when Soobin heard that, he immediately felt a rush of embarassment rise up to his face. "O-oh."
But because Soobin isn't an idiot, he wanted to confirm thet the man was indeed his little angel's father. "Sir, I need to see your ID first to confirm you are indeed his father as you claim to be."
"Yes, of course." The alleged father of Kai pulled out his wallet and reached in to grab his ID. "Here you go."
Soobin then inspects the ID thoroughly. He even asked the old man some questions to cross check with the ID.
"Alright, I understand. Although sadly, he is currently sleeping. Is this an emergency, may I ask?" Soobin keeping his politeness in check.
"O-oh I see. May I come back tomorrow, then?" The old man asks with hope in his tone.
"You are more than welcome, sir." Soobin smiles widely at the man.
"Alright. Thank you so much." The old man then nods his head before putting his hat back on.
"No problem. Be safe, sir." Soobin bids farewell at the old man.
"Thank you, I will." Soobin bows and watches the man leave. He didn't leave his sight on him until he had gone into the elevator.
Soobin then went back inside and closed the door behind him, making sure to be quiet to not wake the others. Soobin then tip-toed and maneuvered his way as to not wake anyone.
Once he got to Kai, he made sure to tuck the younger back in and snuggle close to him as he himself started to fall asleep.
