"So, you're telling me that you guys are moving? Just like that?" Yeonjun pauses from his fillet-o'-fish, still not grasping the situation.
"Yeah. Just like that." Beomgyu says, unfazed.
"Who did you even call to have places just ready to give to you?" Yeonjun continues asking.
"One of my moms. Since she works as a real estate agent, she knows all the good places." Beomgyu replies.
"When are you guys moving again?" Soobin asks this time.
"We're moving ASAP. Kai's dad knows where we live now, and thanks to you, he most likely won't be on our tail for a bit. It's the perfect time to move." Taehyun answers.
"I can see why someone would want to move after what just happened, but I still, you know, can't understand why." Yeonjun pries again.
"Well, the truth is, Beomgyu and Taehyun were the ones I ran to when I escaped from that hell of a house." Kai paused from his hashbrown and started answering. "I was like, what? 8, maybe?"
"Yeah." Beomgyu answers.
"Gyu and Tae are my childhood friends, so they know well what situation I was in from quite a young age." Kai takes a bite off his hashbrown.
"He stayed at my place up until last year when we all moved here together." Taehyun continues.
"Wow. I-I never knew." Soobin said, a bit sad that he didn't know what was going on in Kai's life.
"Awww, baby it's okay." Kai quickly consoles his saddened boyfriend. "I didn't want to tell you because I thought that monster was out of my life for good."
"I don't mean to be rude, but why exactly does your dad uhm..." Yeonjun pauses, trying to find the right words.
"Oh no. No problem. You mean why he acts the way he does?" Kai finishes Yeonjun's question.
Yeonjun can only nod his head in response.
"Well... it's quite a long story, actually..." Kai sighs.
"Oh, then if you mind telling us, you don't have to." Soobin reassures Kai.
"No, I think it's about time, considering what just happened. Plus I feel like today isn't going to be the last we've seen of him." Kai bites into his hashbrown.
