14 (Pt. 2)

On to the story !

"This is where you wanted to go?" Kai asked the older, both holding hands while reading the store's sign that says 'Game Stop'.

"Mhm... I want some new games for my upcoming Nintendo Switch!" Soobin answered enthusiastically as he opened the store's doors and dragged Kai in with him.

"Wait, you have a switch?" Kai asked. Soobin never told him that he liked games, he doesn't seem like a person who liked them either. This made Kai confused.

"Well, I don't really like games per say, I wouldn't choose it over reading, but my mom got me it as a present for something. She just said 'I'm giving you a present. Not your particular taste but I think you'll like it. It's a Switch!'. Though, she did say those through text." Soobin explained to the younger. He let go of his grip with the younger as he started searching the isles.

At the loss of contact with the older, Kai started to feel a bit sad. He was really fond of the older's soft hands. He felt slightly sad, but can't show it or Soobin might be sad too.

"So, what games are you looking for?" Kai asked.

Soobin looked at the younger for a solid 5 seconds and smiled brightly. "They're called 'Pokemon: Shield' and 'Super Smash Bros: Ultimate'." Soobin then went back to focusing on the isles' racks of games. Smile still evident on his face.

"O-Okay. I'll help." Kai was a little shook by the older's soft smile just now.

Kai went to look for the games on another section of the game store. As he scanned the store, he went to different racks, from the highest he could tip-toe to, until the lowest he could crouch to. After searching endlessly, he finally found one of them.

"Binnie! I got one of 'em!" Kai said, running to the boy that was searching on a different isle he previously was searching in.

"Ah, perfect timing! I found the other one too..." Soobin said as he held up the Pokemon game and Kai doing the same with the Smash Bros game.

"Let's pay and then get to the coffee shop, it's nearing 4 already." Soobin said with the same smile as before, the same one that melts Kai's heart into malleable gold.

"Alright, we're here." said Kai, already happy as simple memories start to pass.
