Soobin woke up peacefully, not by the force of his mom like on weekdays. He smiled at the sun and stretched his arms wide as he yawned. He really did feel tired after he poured his life force into that project last night.
He pursed his lips and turned to his bedside table and blinked his eyes awake. "Good birthday morning, phone..." He said as he unplugged his phone.
The first thing he noticed when he turned on his phone was the time. In spite of Soobin being a morning person, the time was currently 2PM, hours way past his usual wake-up time.
"Whoaw." He said shocked. He never would've imagined the project drained that much energy from him.
The next thing he noticed was the notifications. In particular, his messages. His eyes lit up when he saw that he got a few messages while he was asleep. He's really hoping for Kai's answer.
When he unlocked his phone and opened the messages app, his smile faded as the notification came from his mom.
Mommyy
Mommyy Soobin in case you wake up late today, which I know you will, I left some money on the dinner table to order takeout I'm at work so if you need anything I'm only a call away Happy Birthday, sweetie! 🎉 07:24
Soobin smiles back at his mom's caring nature. She never disappoints when it comes to comforting him.
Soobin quickly sent a 'thank you' and 'be safe' to his mom.
He switched his phone off and got off the bed. He decided to play some Pokemon before he had to prepare for work which started at 4.
He set up the TV and switch and sat on the floor, his back resting on his bed. The whole situation reminded him of the time he spent yesterday with Kai.
As he selected through the games, he started reminiscing about yesterday. The both of them playing together, the small conversations, and even the light nap session.
He really missed the younger, but seeing as the younger hasn't even read the messages last night, he's afraid he might bother the younger.
"I mean he is quite a procrastinative person. He might've just packed all the work late at night." He thought aloud as he caught a pokemon.
"But wasn't the reason he left so early was because he wanted to do the project?" Soobin thought aloud, yet again.
"But if he had done the project so early, he would've read my messages..."
