Kai woke up from his sleep in the middle of the night. He's sorta excited for school today because Ms. Irene is going to be teaching for his first period. Yet again, it's still school, so he's still dreading over it.

He opens his eyes carefully and his eyes met the ceiling that is reflecting off the moonlight from his window. He turns his body towards where the window is and admires the beauty of the sky and town at midnight. He enjoys looking at the view when the moon is out.

The moon's clear tonight, just like how it was when Soobin and him were walking together on their way to the apartment.

Soobin...

Just then, the sentence from earlier rang in his ears and filled his head.

"Are you two dating...?"

He felt his face heat up in the cold room. He honestly hasn't thought of it much. He did think once that friends, don't really kiss each other on the lips very often.

As if a horde of sasaengs at an airport when a K-Pop group arrives, he felt the rush of thirst immediately take over him.

He takes off the covers that was once covering him from the temperatures and goes straight to the door, walking very slumpily. He approaches the handle very slowly and grabs it as slow as he could. He turns the handle carefully so that his hyungs won't hear the clicking noises. He successfully manages to open the door without creating any loud noises, and opens the door swiftly. He walks out of his room and went directly to the kitchen.

He turned on the lights to the kitchen and opens the top cupboard and grabs a glass. He goes to the sink and starts filling the glass with warm water. "Whew, I don't know if I'm thirsty but what I do know is that I'm parched."

He chugs down the glass and puts the glass in the sink for his hyungs to wash tomorrow. He walks over to the light switch and turned the lights off before going back to his room. He almost slammed the door like he usually does, but gets reminded by the dark room and the surroundings in general just scream 'night time, bitch.'

He then stops halfway to slamming his door and continued closing the door very carefully. He repeated the same steps as he did when he opened the door previously and successfully closes the door– again– without any loud noises.

He tiredly walks to his bed. He slumps back to the bed and goes under his sheets. He decides to check on his phone for a while, which was charging on his bedside table since the dinner. He unplugs it from the charger and attempts to turn it on, but it's all black.

"Has it not been charging?"

He checks the charger and finds that there's a part of it exposed and the white outer layer broken.

"Of course it's broken... Fuck..."

He then places his phone on the bedside table and will just borrow one of his hyung's extra cables as he buys a new one.
