14 (Pt. 3)

Kai and Soobin were on their way to the apartment from the coffee shop. Kai got a bit more comfortable and used to walking side-by-side with the older. Although, he can never get rid of the thought that the handsomest of all of the angels is walking beside him.

It was silent the entire time they were on their walk, but it wasn't an awkward silence, rather, it was a peaceful silence, one that neither of the teens minded. Kai was looking dead ahead on the path in front of him, enjoying the night filled with the beautiful city lights. Kai admired the city from where he and the older were walking and he could tell, the older was doing the same...

...or was he?

"Hey, Kai...?" Soobin suddenly breaks the question. Eventhough he was speaking to the younger, he was still admiring the city at night.

"Yeah what is it?"

"Can– Is it okay– to hold your hand...?" Soobin asks in a hesitant voice. He finally turned his attention to the younger, a tint of pink dressing his cheeks.

"Uh– I mean, sure..."

Kai stopped walking and held out his hand in front the older. Soobin stopped walking too, looking at the younger's hand for a few seconds before intertwining his hand with the younger's. Kai flashed a smile at the older and dropped both their hands in between them, swinging them at a slow rate.

The walk afterwards continued as it did before, the silence returning upon both of them. Both boys were walking slowly, taking their time as it was still a slight stretch of time before they arrived.

With a few minutes of peaceful silence and walking through the dimly lit streets, they finally have the apartment in sight. With that, Kai got a little boost of energy, and started skipping as he continued walking. Soobin was taken aback by the younger's actions, but he immediately smiled it away. He likes it when the younger acts like the cutest baby on this planet.

"C'mon Binniee! We're almost there!"

"Okay, okay! Slow down... Theres no need to rush..."

"Old..." Kai mumbles to himself, but purposely making it loud enough to hear.

"What was that?" Soobin's smile opens and inhaled sharply.

"Save me some oxygen, oldie! You're gonna die soon anyways, might as well give them to me!" Kai lets go of the older and starts to book it, running playfully as fast as he could.
