6 (Pt. 2)

The school bell rang as it was time for the students to eat lunch. As the bell rang, the doors of classrooms swung open and the students ran out of classrooms as they rushed to the hallways, into the cafeteria to get the best tables and the best food before it runs out.

The hallways and school becomes bustling with students chattering, music, and laughter. Taehyun went out of his class after a boring history lesson. He walks out in a way that looks like his entire energy has been drained from his body. He walks towards the lockers and waits there for his friends to come so they can eat lunch together. He opened his locker and took out his packed lunch from home that he managed to make earlier so he wouldn't have to wait in line —a very long line might I add— at the canteen. Taehyun used to buy his lunch at the cafeteria but then got traumatized to even get near there after finding a cockroach in his sandwich. Since then, he has never been near that cafeteria counter.

After a few minutes, he saw Beomgyu walk from the hallway towards him. Beomgyu seemed rather happy for some reason. Beomgyu waved his hands as he neared Taehyun.

"What's wrong with you?" Taehyun asked when Beomgyu was right beside him

"Owh. Do I look happy? Maybe it's because I got top class in a Maths test today..." Beomgyu said, being proud and not afraid to show off his achievement

Taehyun, surprised, choked on his own saliva and coughed quite intensively. He calmed down before talking. "What!? In Maths!? That's a first. How much did you get?" Taehyun asked, still shocked of Beomgyu's achievement.

"I got 87.5. I also don't know how I got it, but heck, God did goo-" Beomgyu got cut off when he saw Taehyun wave his hands to someone. He turned around to see Soobin and Kai walking out of their classroom. Beomgyu waved his hand too and had a smile on his face.

Beomgyu's smile slightly faded when he realized that Soobin seemed cheerful and smiled back at him, yet Kai has both of his hands wrapped around Soobin waist, his head rested on Soobin's shoulder, and his eyes shut as he smiled widely, looking slightly up towards the ceiling.

Taehyun and Beomgyu stopped waving and soon after Soobin and Kai were in front of them, both still doing the same position as they kept their smile. "What? Did you guys decide to date already?" Taehyun asked jokingly. It made Soobin blush and Kai release his hands and stand next to Soobin.

Kai being oblivious to what Taehyun's words had done to Soobin's heart, stated the reason of both of them being happy, with pride filled in his eyes. "We got in the top 5 on our Maths test today! I got 5th place! I never even touched 10th!"

"And how much did you get to receive that kind of achievement? Maybe the teacher did a miscalculation, even if she was the maths teacher, there's always room for mistakes... you never know..." Beomgyu jokingly asked Kai with a cheeky smile on his face.

Kai's face turns bitter. "I got 86.25 if you were wondering". Beomgyu's eyes widened in shock.

"Now I'm sure the teacher did a miscalculation."

"You're mean... I studied, I deserve it." Kai puffed his cheeks and crossed his arms in a cute way that made Soobin blush again.

"And how much did you get to be in 2nd place?" Taehyun turns and asks Soobin

"Owh uhm... 98.75..." Taehyun and Beomgyu's eyes widened

"What!? Damn you're smart... Did you study previously?" Taehyun replies

"Nope."

"How-" Taehyun gets cut off with Beomgyu

"Can we eat? I'm hungry after all that thinking..." Beomgyu whined and the rest responded with a nod. When Soobin turned to the direction of the cafeteria, he got attacked by arms wrapping around his waist and eyes closed while his head resting on his right shoulder. Soobin jumped in surprise and turned to look at the his shoulder and saw Kai's sweet smile.

"You're so warm..." Kai said while still holding that position which made Soobin blush uncontrolably. "Let's go..."

"Like this?" Soobin asked to Kai. At this point, Taehyun and Beomgyu arrived at the cafeteria first, leaving the two boys behind at the lockers area.

"Why not?" Kai opened his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows

"I mean, won't people then just stare at us?" Soobin looks towards the cafeteria

"Then if they stare, it means they're jealous." Kai replied while puffing his cheeks. It made Soobin blush even redder as he nodded as he started walking, Kai following his every step

Kai was sitting on his table, on his last class of the day, he was feeling sad for some reason. Like something (or someone) is missing, someone he wants to be beside him right now.

A few hours passed and his class ended. He packed his things from his table and put it inside his bag. He then swung it over his right shoulder and left the class. When he was walking in the hallway, along with many students, he saw a familiar tall boy's clothings from behind and he immidiately smiled widely as he ran to him.

"Binnie!" Kai shouted as he jumped behind Soobin and back hugged him, stopping Soobin from walking to the front door

"Ah! Aish... Don't do that" Soobin pretended that he didn't like it when in fact he enjoyed it. He enjoys every moment being with Kai so far, so why hate the rest that's in the future?

"Wanna hang out at my house? Well technically an apartment, but that doesn't change the fact that I have nothing to do..." Kai asked the older while still back hugging him, resting his left side of his face on Soobin's back

"Uhm... s-sure... I mean I have nothing to do too..." Soobin doesn't know why he's stuttering when talking to him but apparently Kai thought it was a cute thing as he giggled right after Soobin said that.

"You're cute when you stutter, I mean you're cute every other time too..." He mumbled the last part. Soobin blushed and started walking for the front door again.

"Let's go."
