When He Returned - Part 2  I should very much be excited of his arrival, but something inside me was still hurt by his action of leaving me. It had shattered me at the time. I wished dearly that he hadn't left without notice, and I was still upset with him till this day about his decision. He didn't bother to call, not once. He was far too busy for me. Lord knows if he engaged in any relationship with another woman, but who was I to stop him.  The car smoothed to a halt. “Le Restaurant Alizé, mademoiselle.” The chauffeur announced courteously.  I sighed, sitting up in the soft luxurious leather seat below me. “Merci beaucoup, Arivian.” I spoke French only to the chauffeurs and high class servants of the estate I owned. It was a formal manner of communicating in my terms.  I glanced at James who sat beside me silently, watching me carefully. James was a friend. Just a friend. But I was very aware of the fact that he fancied me. There would be the occasional flirt every once in a while, but never did the thought of forming a relationship with him occur to me. He was always just there for me. If I was feeling lonely and needed company, he was there with the occasional bottle of wine.  The car door opened smoothly as I stepped out embracing the bared heat. A young man hurried to my side with an umbrella gripped in his hand as he hovered it over my head to block the sunlight and heat. But in all honesty, it did everything but keep the heat away.  It took no less than seconds to hear the restless shouts of the crowding press, one in particular was excruciatingly loud and clear. “Ma’am, your stock markets sales are rising incredibly! Could this possibly make you the top leading salesman?!” I scoffed, ignoring the question as I continued to rush into the building, shoving through the continuous flow of press. “Ma’am please, your-” Once inside, a sigh of relief came over me as the surroundings grew finally quiet.✨
