When He Returned - Part 6I hurried over to the marble sink watching myself in the refined mirror. My face was powdered up but the beads of sweat were clearly visible as they dripped down my forehead unwillingly, drenching my face. The salty water of tears brimmed to the corners of my eyes, stinging it with its rawness, the redness creeping through my blood red veins.
All the memories came back… ******* "Michael!" I laughed. "Sweetheart we shall be leaving now, we'll be late!" I whined tugging on his arm.
"Hold on love." He giggled heartily. "Let me finish this last piece!"
"Michael! You've eaten five pieces of chicken already! You're going to get fat!" I screeched pulling on his arm more.
He turned to me frowning slightly. "So what if I become fat..?"
"Would you like to be fat in our wedding picture?" I giggled.
"No, but I want you to be fat!" He giggled pulling me close as he licked his fingers clean.
"Michael, goodness. Didn't your mother ever teach you manners?" I winced in disgust.
"I want you to be fat in our wedding picture. You're going to be carrying our baby." He smirked biting his lip and he gazed at me.
I blushed looking back up at him, catching his gaze. "You really think so?" I smiled captivated in the so called trance he set me in with his soft brown eyes.
"Of course, our little baby. We'll be the happiest family. Forever and always. Forever.... And ... Alwa-" ******* And the vomit came gushing out, spewing all over the sink uncontrollably. I gagged as my stomach convulsed causing me to dry heave. The tears stung even harsher now. I hovered over the sink hoping and wishing this nightmare would end soon enough. I didn't want to meet him. It would bring back too many memories. I hated him for leaving me. He promised me... He promised me we'd be forever together. He promised our love. He promised he'd never leave me, no matter what.
But where was that promise..? Had it vanished all of a sudden?✨
