Chapter 7

I followed Lola up to her bedroom after she stormed out. "Hey" i said knocking on the door.

"What" she moaned

"Can i come in Lola?" I asked and heard a muffled response like a 'whatever'. I opened the door then closed it over behind me. "Whats up?"

Lola raised her head out her pillow "i never told you"

"Never told me what?" I sat on the end of her bed.

"Ive never had my first kiss."

"What?" I said "Yes you have."

"Damm it, I forgot you knew that." She put her head back down in the pillow. "Fin I use oo lik A"

"I didn't get a word of that Lola" she turned over and huffed.

"I said 'Fine, I use to like Ash' but it doesn't matter" Lola answered blushing.

"What the fricking frack! Are you series?" I felt shocked

"Don't say that!" Lola shouted

"Say what?" I said

"Fricking frack" She answered

"Why not, it's better than swearing?" I asked

"Oh my god Kriss, just don't say it." I nodded and she stood up pulling me with her "Come on, let's go back downstairs." The old wooden stairs creaked under our feet as we walked, Ash was still resting on the armchair but he held a slim tall glass of water. "Already on the vodka?" Lola joked. Ash rolled his eyes and turned his head into the pillow, I pulled open the curtains and let a massive ray of sunshine inside. Lola flopped on the sofa "Can I have something to drink?"

"I'll go make us some tea." I smiled at my hangover friends feeling glad I wasn't one of them. "Or would you prefer some coffee?" I heard a muffled sound come from Ash's pillow and saw a little nod from Lola. I made Lola her usual tea with three sugars but wasn't sure what to make Ash. I decided on coffee for him and some hot chocolate for me, I strode back into the living room with all three drinks in my hands.

"Why did you kiss me Ash?" I heard Lola's soft voice when I walked in, I slowly tried to back away without them noticing me at all.

"Um...I don't know," Only three more steps and then I was out of the room "why did you kiss me?"

One more step...

"I don't know either, why should I know?" She sounded annoyed and on the edge of crying at the same time.

"Would you like to kis-" Lola's voice was suddenly stopped by a sharp shattering noise. I had dropped all three drinks, their contents now spilling all over the cream coloured carpet floor. They all mixed into a strange browny colour and began tp stain the carpet. "Shit!" Lola stood up and half ran to me, Ash got up wearily and followed her. I ran into the kitchen and grabbed as much kitchen roll and as many cloths as I could in one go. I handed Ash and Lola the stuff before going back to get some carpet cleaner and soap.

"Will it come out?" Ash asked no one in particular.

"I don't know..." I answered him.

"Lets just put the cleaning thingy on the carpet and just hope it comes out on its own." Ash and I nodded at Lola and we all stood up to leave. "Do you wanna go anywhere in specific?"

I shook my head but Ash rubbed his chin as if he was thinking about something serious "Well we could go to the bar?"

"What the hell you're only 16!" I shoved Ash's shoulder a little bit.

He shook his head "well you're 16 too!"

"There's a difference though," I began trying to stare down at him (we were about the same height) "I'm in the year above you in school. My birthday is soon and yours is ages away." Ash rolled his eyes at me as we all left Lola's house.

"Oh my gosh, I completely forgot I've got somewhere to be!" Lola pouted at us.

"What? Where on earth do you have to go?" I asked knowing I sounded too interested.

Lola waved her hand at me " Doesn't matter, see you around." She smiled and started jogging away from us.

Ash rolled his eyes again "What just happened?" Before he too walked away. How come everyone had somewhere to be and something to do except me?
