Ash's POV
Chapter 20
Marvin had told us to meet him but it seemed like he was the only one not here yet. So it was Thursday afternoon and a group of us had walked here to meet up with the other people that were invited. Among the group was Kriss, Lola, Evie, Toby and this other girl called Cat, I don't think I regocnise anyone else.

Five or ten minutes later Marvin walks up to the group, a massive grin plastered to his face "Great eveyones already here!" Everyone? Where's Gavin, was he not invited?

"Where are we going?" Kriss said in her perfect voice. Her dark sapphire coloured eyes staring at Marvin's.

Marvin shook his head slightly and moved his stare to the entire group "Where ever you guys want."

We started walking forward towards one of the shops in town. I needed to talk to Evie though, apparently she was a match maker or something and I had a request. If you know what I mean.

Once we were inside a shop I decided to wonder off, and luckily Evie followed discretely. "How did you know I wanted to talk to you?" I asked, baffled.

"Its part of being Cupid" she joked, giggling a bit. "So what's wrong?"

I shook my head "Well nothing is wrong...but I...um I-"

"You like Kriss?" She rolled her eyes and looked down at her nails, was she bored or something?

Wow, so I was opening up to someone and this is how they react? "Yea maybe I do like her." I said keeping my voice low to make sure no one heard me, especially Kriss.

"Okay then," Evie said looking up from her nails and smiling "I'll help you."

"Thank god for that," I said in a bored voice "have you got any ideas of how you're going to help me?"

"Here have this," she shoved a piece of scrap paper with a number written on it in smudged black ink "I'll ring you when I decide which plan to go with for you two." She walked back to the group without another look back at me. God, why are girls so confusing?

I looked over to the group and caught a short glimpse at Kriss' dark blue eyes. She quickly smiled at me before turning her head away and looking at someone else.

I'm not an impatient person but I had been waiting for a text from Evie for about an hour now, what on earth was she doing?

I know she is a busy person always juggling other people's relationships and school work but this was important to me, and I wasn't completely sure if I told Kriss myself, without help, she would just think I'm joking. I guess we've kinda gone on a date before, but even when it was happening I wasn't sure it actually was a date, the waiter definitely thought it was though. But when he'd said that to us Kriss had basically freaked out. Was that because she didn't even want to think about going out with me or because she didn't want to? Either way I hope Evie knows.

I wonder if she's ever had any relationships of her own? I've never heard about one...? Of course she has, she wouldn't give advice to others if she didn't have experience herself? Anyway, it doesn't really matter as long as her plan works.

My phone buzzed and I jumped, Evie was finally ringing me. I felt excited and slightly nervous at what she was about to tell me.

"Okay," she said skipping the hello and going straight to the subject "so I've decided on quite a simple plan for you and Kriss. I'm going to tell her best friend...um what's her name? Lola isn't it? Well, I'm going to tell Lola that I have a great guy that I think Kriss would love to meet and I could set them up. Of course I won't tell her your name! Kriss will obviously go because she trusts her best friend. But-"

"So basically it's supposed to be a blind date but we just happen to already know each other?" I interrupted her.

"No, not quite." She huffed, annoyed. "I was going to say my plan but maybe you just don't want to know."

"Please tell me Evie." I questioned.

"Fine, I was going to say" She cleared her throat "When she arrives at the restaurant her supposed to be wonderful date doesn't turn up, but I can tell she's the type of polite person who will wait a while and give the guy a chance, you know she'll think he's just late or something. But after a while she'll know she's been stood up and can you guess what's going to happen next?" She asked rhetorically. "You're going to turn up and pretend you had no idea she was going to be there. And then you'll sit opposite her and have a beautiful date with her."

"That plan sounds bullet proof." I mumbled to myself.

I could almost hear the smile on Evie's lips as she talked "It is."
