The Pinapple

Chapter 13
Gavin pulled away from the short kiss but then Marvin pulled him back and kissed him again.

I looked away from them feeling as if I'd interrupted their private moment.
"Told you" Ash said simply.

"What?" I asked feeling confused.

"I told you he didn't want to go out with you." He answered. I looked at Ash and he was almost smiling.

"When did you say that? And why are you smiling?" Ash looked at me then away again.

"It doesn't matter." He said. I wondered if Lola had seen Gavin and Marvin kiss? They all got off the ride and Gavin seemed to be smiling slightly but no one was shocked or anything, so Lola and that other girl hadn't seen them. "What time is it?" Ash asked.

"Um..." The girl checked her watch "around ten o'clock."

"We should probably go home now." I said to Lola. She nodded and we said our goodbyes before walking back to my house.

"Did you have fun tonight?" Lola asked while we were walking.

I kicked a stone across the street "Yea I guess, it's the first time I've been out with friends since I was in hospital."

"Oh yea" Lola said "I'd forgot about that." We arrived at my house and went inside. I went straight past my parents but Lola said a quick hello. I shut my bedroom door and Lola gave me a funny look. "Why are you avoiding your mum and dad?"

"I'm not." I shrugged my shoulders "And even if I am it doesn't matter."

"Yes it would, just tell me why?"

"They have something to tell me but I know its not good news and I just don't want to know what it is." I sighed slowly.

"I know what it is..." Lola said, I looked at her "...your mum got offered a job."

I smiled feeling relieved "What? Thats it?"

"Its not exactly near...and remember I wasn't the one who told you." She said.

"Who told you?" I asked. She shook her head obviously she wasn't going to tell me. "So what do you think about Marvin and Gavin?" I asked changing the subject.

"They're both super hot?" She guessed.

I smiled, I liked that I knew something she didn't. "Okay, if I tell you don't tell anybody else because it's not your secret to tell." She nodded in agreement. "So you know on the ferris wheel it stops at the top, well when it was their turn they kissed." I said excitedly.

"Omg omg omg!" Lola said almost shouting. "No!" She sounded annoyed not excited.

"What!?" I asked. Why was she overreacting?

"I have a crush on him!" She answered historically.

"Marvin?" I asked quickly feeling slightly jealous. "Well at least he's happy."

"Not Marvin, I have a crush on Gavin." I felt relief wash over me.
