Chapter 18
How had it come to this? I always study, like always. I'm the good pupil that never misses any lesssons and completes all the homework.

But in the previous week, I'd been in hospital, I've skived twice, I've stayed up late, my friends have been drunk acohol and kissed. I really hoped my lofe would come down around now.

Its the morning before the spanish test, well I say test, but I mean exam. I thought I'd probably fail it and now I knew I would definitely fail it.

Not that I was sure what I was actually going to do with my life? I mean, there are plenty of jobes that I could do, I just have no idea how to pick one. What if I can't even get a job when I'm older, what will I do then?
Okay, calm down, I'm thinking way to ahead.

I walked into the hall, my pencil case grasped tighly in my hand. I took out what I needed and took a seat next to a random person in my year. I looked around for Lola but couldn't see her yet, I couldn't see Marvin or Gavin either.

That reminded me of Evie. She had said she went to my school but I could'nt see her anywhere. What year was she in anyway? To be honest she probably did say but I most likely forgot...

I looked behind me and Ash walked into the hall, when he saw me a small crept onto his face. I waved him over and he took a seat next to me.

"Where's Lola?" I asked straight away.

He shook his head "No idea, haven't seen her since Thursday but it's Monday now so..."

"Yea I know, I haven't seen her either. Do you think she'll turn up today or...?" I wondered aloud.

Ash didn't answer me, our teacher hushed the noise down and passed out the exam papers.

Lola was waiting unexpectedly outside the exam hall, she had her back leaning against the yellow coloured wall and was staring at her nails, bored. I walked over to her, she stood up and faced me. "So, you're here." I said, unenthusiastically.

"Did you miss me?" She wincked jokingly at me. I shrugged. "I'm sorry I was busy at the..." She trailed off.

"Where were you Lola?" I paused waiting for a response that didn't come. "Have you been there the whole time?"

She shook her head and I turned to leave but she grapped my arm "I can't tell you, no one knows...well some people know but that doesn't matter." I replied with a striking glare. "Fine!" She sighed "I was at the hospital."

"Why is everyone at the hospital lately?" I asked shrugging my arm out of Lola's grasp and walking away from her.

But come to think of it lots of people had been to the hospital lately, but why? I mean I went the first time because I fell of the massive climbing wall. Marvin had stayed with me when that had happened but afterwards he'd stayed behind for some reason he wouldn't say. And then on my way out Lola had been going into the hospital and she wouldn't say why either.

Then there was that time I followed her and she went to the hospital and when I was going to ask her why I saw Marvin walk up to the hospital too. Why are them two always there, together...
