I Don't Care

Marvin's POV
Chapter 14
Cold autum wind hit me hard as I walked to the hospital. I'd planned to meet Lola there at mid day, she'd been meeting me at the hospital for quite a while now. "Hey" I greeted her politely.

Her stylishly long blonde hair swished in the strong wind "Hi." She seemed distracted today, I scratched my forehead in confusion. "Should we go inside?" She asked pointing to the hospital. I nodded, knowing there was no point in arguing with her. The wind was going in the direction we were and made us walk faster - or maybe I was just trying to keep up with Lola's quick pace. We went through the revolving doors and into the lobby. "This is awkward..." She mumbled under her breath.

I raised my eyebrow "What is?"

She shook her head "Lets talk in private." She said walking away but I knew where she was going. It was on the first floor in an old corridor no one ever used because there was a shorter way now.

I walked quickly to meet her before she had to go to her job. I turned the corner to see Lola pacing back and forth down the corridor. "So what is awkward?" I asked still trying to think what it could possibly be.

"I know you kissed Gavin." She said her face faintly dusted pink.

"Oh" I said surprised "I didn't realise you saw." Did it embarrass her that I'd kissed him?

"I didn't, someone told me." She replied "So are you and Gavin in a-" I cut her off.

"Relationship?" I finished for her "No way...he's...uh...not my type." I answered honestly.

"What do you mean not you're type?" She paused and by her expression I geussed she was debating whether to say something. "You're not gay?" She asked rather rudely but it didn't matter to me, it was only natural for people to wonder.

"Look, I don't care what gender people are...it's more about their personality." She nodded in understanding. "Was there anything else you wanted to know?" I laughed finding the situation entertaining.
