"Ms. Stark there's a delivery at the door, they need someone to sign for it" JARVIS says loudly jolting me out of my sleep. I'm in my room, I assume I was so tired I passed out with Pepper in the living room and my father must have brought me back here.

"Tell them to hang out a second I'll be right down, also what time is it?" I ask groggy and stumble around my room slightly.

"8:20 am miss" JARVIS responds "I put a pot of coffee on for you"

"Thank you, you're a lifesaver" I say looking down at what i'm wearing, the same thing as I was then I went into the kitchen last night, black leggings and a T-shirt. I shrug quickly and run downstairs.

The delivery men struggle to wheel up a large stuffed bunny let alone sit it upright, the damn things the size of the first story of the house.

"Do you want it inside" they ask all struggling and out of breath.

"No this ungodly thing can stay out here until my father decides what to do with it, thank you guys" I say, tipping them each, "Man he must really love her, or he knows he messed up last night."

Suddenly my phone rings

"Hey this might be a weird request princess but tonight's date night and..." My father starts to trail off

"I won't be here, I'll head back home you two have fun, and Merry Christmas" I say trying to not sound too awkward

"Oh and there should be a delivery coming can you sign for it before you leave" Tony asks, slightly distracted talking to someone else in hushed tones

"Oh It's already here, and it's overkill" I reply with a smirk

"Bad overkill or good overkill" he said almost embarrassed sounding

"I'm not sure, is there such a thing as good overkill?" I say with a laugh "Hey don't work yourself to death ok?"

"Never, I'm having lunch with an old friend now, so I'm fine" He says and it sounds like there's a small scuffle in the background, it almost sounds like my father is trying to shove the phone into someone else's hands

"Fine I'll talk" Rodey speaks quietly but then he says reluctantly into the phone "I'll take care of your dad don't worry"

"You boys have fun, but wait, where are you having lunch? It's 8:40 in the morning." I say back to him confused

"Unimportant, I'll see you when I see you" My father comes back on the line before hanging up

"I didn't really want to spend Christmas with my family anyways" I say to myself.

I end up calling a car to take me to the hanger. I go inside and collect a few things, some winter clothes to take back with me. The car is set to arrive in about 20 minutes so i make one more call

"Hey star spangled man with a plan" I say teasing Steve as soon as he picks up the phone

"Hey weather girl" He responds teasing me

"Do you have any Christmas plans? Dad bailed on me, I guess I really shouldn't be so shocked" I say trying to not sound like it bothers me.

"I'm free, want to come down?" He says I can hear the smile on his face

"That was my plan as long as you will have me" I say with a smirk, trying to flirt realizing that I really don't know how to.

"Sounds great, I'll see you in about 3 hours?" He says, I can just hear his smile on the phone.

"I'm actually In Malibu, so maybe closer to 5 hours the jet is already waiting" I say while I climb into the car while still on the phone with him.

"Does this mean you won't have your car? So we can actually take my bike places" He says far too happy

"Oh god, maybe I'll just buy a new car while I'm there" I joke, I've never ridden on his bike, the things frightening to me.

"Nonsense I'll pick you up, I'll be at the hanger in 5 hours" Steve says with far too much happiness in his voice. He is far too happy about getting me on his bike, he's always wanted to, he thinks I will enjoy it.

"Ok only because it's almost Christmas" I reluctantly agreed "I'll see you in a few hours."

I tell the staff on the jet to take my stuff back to NYC so I have it there for my return since I already have everything I need in DC. I will admit sometimes it's nice being able to be as blessed as I am that I have the ability to have staff help me out in a small unimportant pinch.
