I arrive at the SHIELD Providence base in Canada in the early morning, making sure that I follow every direction Fury left for me, send the signal of the base's location to Coulson's badge, and make sure rooms are ready for his team. Work with Agent Koenig To make sure that they are all safe.

"And now we wait" I say walking into the kitchen to make myself and Agent Koenig something to eat.

"How have you been holding up with everything" Koenig asks, he is a weird guy for sure but i can tell he means well, and he is loyal to SHIELD to a fault, or maybe just loyal to Fury.

"It's for sure weird, SHIELDS gone, Fury is MIA" I say handing him one of the sandwiches I just made

"So, what's it like being an Avenger? What's it like dating an avenger?" He asks very interested

"Being? Good I guess, saved the world, watched a good friend die to only find that he's back alive, now both my father and I get panic attacks" I say pausing, thinking, "Dating? Fine I guess, is it like being with anyone else? I'm unsure, but it works"

"Unsure? You never dated anyone before?" Koenig asks confused "You are Tony Stark's daughter, I figured tons of man would have been lining up to date you"

"Ah yes the perks of having Tony as a father also include everyone being too scared of him, that and I was always thrown into work, too involved to care about much else" I say with a sigh, taking a bite of my sandwich, just as my phone starts to ring

"Yes Sam?" I say seeing his name pop up on my closed private network phone

"Hey, Steve's all settled, he wanted to stay in your floor, that's going to be an argument when you get home with your dad for sure" Sam jokes on the other end of the phone

"But it does make sense that he stays there, I have a full medical research lab on my floor, that's a good one for him to stay at," I say trying to be rational about the situation, but it makes me happy that Steve wants to stay on my floor."And Sam if my father has any issues please tell him to take them up with me when I get back"

Koenig waves at me as a base alert lets him know that someone has arrived. I wave back continuing the conversation, this base is secure enough that if it wasn't who we were expecting they wouldn't be alive.

"Will do, also, will I get an official room when you get back?" Sam asks sheepishly "Not that i really need it i still have my place in DC but it would be nice to have a place to stay while i'm here"

"Pick any room on housing level 2, I'll adjust it to your needs as soon as I'm back" I pause a moment "Would you mind putting Steve on the phone?"

"Sure thing I'll get him for ya" Sam says as I hear shuffling in the background of the phone, I also hear voices in the hall approaching the dining area, still far enough away that I'm good to keep my current activity going

"Hey little witch" Steve's sweet voice comes through the phone

"Hey iced latte" I say with a small laugh "Things are good here, I should be home in a day or two, I just wanted to say I love you and I miss you"

"I miss you too Kay, I can't wait to see you again" Steve says lovingly "and of course you know I love you"

"Looks like I have company here, I'll see you as soon as I can babe" I say hearing the group behind me

"I'll see you soon love" He says, I hang up the phone and sign

"I knew you would fall for him, after all the crap you gave me about being obsessed with him" I hear an oh so familiar voice come from behind me
