"Ultron knows we're coming," Steve starts to give one of his famous mission speeches while standing at the front of the jet "Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire. And that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out. All they want is to live their lives in peace And that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them and we can get the job done. We find out what Ultron's been building, we find Romanoff, And we clear the field, keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monsters. That we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right."
We first focus on evacuating the people out of the city. The female twin, who I found out is named Wanda, uses her mind control ability to get people out of their homes. Iv taken to directing traffic out of town, Barton's helping where he can, and Steve has been helping me direct cars further down the street.
A robot suddenly lands on the bridge and starts shooting at us with weapons similar to arc technology. Steve takes the first one down, bashing it with his shield. They are fast, that's problem number one.
Clints already hard at work distorting two more with some of his fancy arrow work. Meanwhile I throw fireballs at others, they can melt, good.
We work at clearing off the smaller bridge, more robots keep coming from that access point, too many for us to feel safe with civilians. That's problem number two.
A robot starts to fire at Wanda, before I can get an ice barrier up she's using her powers to block all but one blast, knocking her on her side. I run over to her
"Ya good?" I say with a small smile and help her up
They are strong, that's problem number three
"I'm good," she says looking back at me
"You got yourself some great powers," I look at her "I just never want to be in the other side of them again"
"No never, I'm sorry, I let my hate for your father cloud my judgment" she says with a sad look in her eyes
"Forgiven. No worries" I say blasting another robot with fire before taking off running over to Steve who looks like he could use more help than just himself, I yell over my shoulder back at Wanda "He's easy to hate sometimes!"
The earth starts to rumble and break off as a section of the city is lifted into the sky. I see Steve standing near the edge looking down, I get up next to him and observe our ascension, he instinctively puts his arm around me. I look up to him and pull him with me away from the edge.
"Come on Cap, we still got work to do" I say with a small smile
"God I love it when you call me Cap" He says gripping my waist tighter, pulling me to him
"God not how I ment it" I say smacking his chest lightly "We have work to do"
"Do you see the beauty of it? The inevitability. You rise, only to fall. You. Avengers are my meteor. My swift terrible sword. And the earth will crack with the weight of your failure" Ultron can be hers over head giving some kind of delusional victory speech. "Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me, it means nothing. when the dust settles the only thing living in this world will be metal."
"Great, crazy murder robot just went full psycho" I say blasting a robot with ice, freezing its components, as Steve then kicks it shattering it
Another comes flying at me, I blast it with fire and then quickly freeze it causing it to almost instantly rust. Steve looks over at me impressed
