The Date

I look at my hair in the mirror, it's not doing anything I want it to, curls aren't staying but it won't stay straight either. Instead I start to put it up in a series of French braids creating a crown on braids around my head.

I slip on a light blue dress, the dress stops just at my knees, I slip on a silver pair of flats just as JARVIS charms overhead

"Miss there are some people here to see you" JARVIS says

"JARVIS I don't have any meetings scheduled today, please tell them to schedule a time to come back" I say putting on a small amount of makeup

"Miss it's important, about your secret project" JARVIS says again, knowing his keyword to let me know its about SHIELD

"Fine, send them to the meeting room. I'll be there soon, can you let Steve know it may be a bit before I'm ready?" I ask already on the way to the elevator

Once I get to the meeting rooms I see Agent May with a few other agents I do not know. May scowling at me as usual for her.

"May" I say nodding my head at her "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"We need to talk to you about Coulson" May says matter of fact

"Oh, so asking me about a ghost" I say turning around to leave "I have something more important to go do"

"Has he contacted you?" May says stopping me, causing me to turn back to the room.

"Oh so they know" I say looking around the room "Not for about two months, In fact, it was the last time I saw you, Agent May. Iv been rather busy around here with various projects. I haven't had time to follow up on a completely defunct organization."

"If he does contact you I need to to contact us. Coulson is collecting enhanced individuals, and you happen to be one that he's trusted for years" A female agent I don't recognize says looking at me.

"That doesn't sound like him" I say looking away from everyone in the room. "Also, I think he knows I'm off limits"

"Of course you are now, your Starks daughter, Caps girl, Banners experiment" May says looking angry as ever, she's always hated me, guess more so now. Her commment causes my normally professional demenot to change. Causing me to lash out.

"If we are done here, leave, none of you are welcome here." I say angrally leaving the room "JARVIS make sure security takes care of them"

I walk back to the elevators and go back up to my floor. What are you doing Phil I think to myself, lost in thought walking into the living room and sitting on the couch

"JARVIS, can you inform Steve the meeting is over, and that I'm ready" I ask the AI

"No need, I'm already here" Steve's voice says loudly from the kitchen, I scream in alarm.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you were in here" I say standing up and walking over to him

"Sorry to surprise you, I was already on my way up when JARVIS let me know you had a meeting, I figured I'd put these in water while I waited" He says, handing me a bouquet of red roses, mixed with lilies.

"Oh Steve, these are beautiful" I say looking at them for maybe to long as a tear starts to form

"Not nearly as beautiful as you" He says taking the flowers from me placing them in a vase

"Pulling all the stops aren't you" I say with a small smile

"Well it is our first date isn't it?" He says with a chuckle
