"And one, and two, and three."

Ranger smiled as all three of hit home and a cultist fell out from behind the corner of the house he'd just shot through. Even with the rain, he could see the holes in the man's thigh and chest. The body twitched for a second before laying still, and he started panning across the field to find more targets.

The cultists had learn quite rapidly that escape was no dice. There were at least a dozen bodies between the buildings and the edge of clearing where Ranger was laying, with probably double that having approached Vyper's fire traps with no success. Since then, they had taken to finding cover and alternating between trying to find him and trying to stop teammates. Neither option was working too well for them.

The girls were just exiting a building, and Ranger trained his sights on them. They were both soaked from the rain, but other than a few cuts and scrapes, neither of them looked hurt. Oracle had her 17 up and ready and was scanning the area around her. Chesyr had a knife in one hand and her 911 in the other. She was also definitely using her power, since she looked just like Van. She turned and looked just a bit to the left of where Ranger was set up, and waved.

"Sorry." She mouthed, knowing he was looking. She also knew how much it hurt him to see. He quickly went back to scanning the area, putting Van out of his head. Now wasn't the time.

There was a shadow in one of the windows of the barracks, and Ranger put two bullets into it. Judging by the blood on the wall behind the now shattered window, he hit his mark. There were only a couple of windows left intact on that side of the barracks, and he wondered which one would be next.

"Ranger, need a hand." Sentinel's voice came through his comm. By the sound of it, his teeth were gritted. Must be a serious situation.

It only took seconds to find the boys, given the amount of muzzle flashes there were. The two of them were laying in the dirt in front of a house, firing up over the top of it to keep whoever was inside was honest. The door was blown wide open, and both front windows were shattered. Whoever was inside was mostly hidden, only being illuminated for a split second by their muzzle flashes.

Unfortunately for them, that was more than enough for Ranger. The first shot blew most of a man's chest apart, and when he fell he pulled the trigger on his shotgun, catching the woman next to him in the legs. She probably screamed, but the .50 BMG Ranger put into her head certainly shut her up. The others inside started taking cover, trying to hide. The next three rounds went through a wooden wall, a couch, and an overturned table.

There was no cover from this gun.

"Five I could see are down," Ranger said, then took a deep breath. "Watch yourselves."

"Copy, thanks," Sentinel said. Ranger looked at him as he got up. From what was visible through the mud all over him, he was pockmarked with little red dots from shrapnel, and had a deep cut on the outside of his forearm. He was still moving with purpose though, and held his gun ready as he rushed inside the house.

Vyper was a little slower getting up, and Ranger quickly saw why: he had a hole in his thigh that was leaking blood. He limped his way into the house, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small medkit. He disappeared behind a wall, leaving Ranger to hope his twin would actually use it.

Ranger saw movement out of the corner of his eye, and twisted to see a small group running across a gap from one of the buildings to the church. He wasn't sure if they were thinking he was distracted, or if they just didn't know, or if they thought their God would protect them, but it didn't matter. Ranger put a shot into each of them, starting at the back of the group and working his way forward.
